Lenovo reaching record revenue for fiscal 2018/2019

Ro, 24 May 2019

Lenovo shared its financial results for the fiscal 2018 and 2019 and things look more than promising. The company posts record revenue driven by the Intelligent Transformation strategy and strong operational performance. An all-time high revenue of $51 billion has been recorded, which is a 12.5% year-over-year increase.

Intelligent Transformation strategy drives income before taxes of around $856 million - a staggering 459% growth year-over-year. Net income is $597 - an increase of $786 million from last year.

The growth is partially due to the strong Q4 performance last year with double-digit growth in revenue - $11.7 billion. Excellent performance across all business, including Motorola, has improved profitability with income before taxes of $180 million. This is a first since the acquisition of x86 and Motorola.

Lenovo is a consumer electronics company, they won't get banned and also they own part of IBM and Motorola wich are US based companies.
