to fix invalid imei
this is how i fixed my lenov0 s820
1. download uncle app
2. Select Engineering Mode, select Engineer Mode (MTK), look at the top and select Connectivity and select CDS Information, select Radio Information Several Method to Change Imei for MTK Devices
3. You will see Phone 1 and Phone2, Click on it if you wanna change or re-write your device IMEI.
For Phone 1 insert “AT +EGMR=1,7,"IMEI”
For Phone 2 insert “AT +EGMR=1,10,"IMEI”
(Note: Your imei's maybe written in your battery. That will be the 15 digit code that you will enter with the above code.)
4. Send the command. If it says msent. then it is successful.
5. Just normal reboot your phone.. then check if it works

Very Bad Phone; I owned a 4gb model and I've used it for 1 year. Really lags a lot, has problem with 3G connectivity :( I've tried many baseband versions i.e flashing many [[[ modem.img ]]] v15. v16. v20. v23. v50. v51. v52) but none seems to work only 2G(GSM) works..... :/ poor network !! Besides this only its camera 12MP works like a charm. Also it low storage i.e internal storage is insufficient :( I've rooted the phone tried link to SD apk; unfortunately doesn't work !!!
I've flashed many other ROMS like Pure Xperia Z2. always loses network when switching to WDCMA ONLY ... and draining battery in Kitkat 4.4.2 also is a big problem; thus I had downgrade to android 4.2.2 jelly bean using SP Flash Tool. Here's the guide guys I really recommend this site, if you want to modify or flash , root ur smartphone go to http://www.androidrookies.com/
And for flashing other ROM to ur Lenovo S820 4GB/8GB

The question is simple "How to fix "Invalid IMEI " after Factory reset?"
After factory reset my phone starts showing "Invalid IMEI" on both SIM slots and I can't call or to being called.

Not good for games, lags a lot...its GPU so poor..just beutifull display screen...

Hi Friends am using lenovo S820 for 1 year the phone is well superb camera and all are working nice I update the version from jelly bean to KitKat also through OTA update but now after some versions released I update baseband versions well but suddenly from V222 to V223 I download the file and start update through OTA its getting download but My problem is phone is not updating its show while reboot OTA update failed can any one Suggest me how to Update to new baseband version Please urgent reply needed

Bought updated version with 8g memory. One year now and I have no complaints. Getting phab same brand next month. Luv my lenovo.

i dont recomand any lenovo phone
i have one like this i have 5 months and it has too many problems its not a good phone

After one year of using this phone, it died completely. Tried to do a factory reset, but the factory mode is written in chinese. During that year the phone had some issues: the camera didn't work at some of the times when I wanted to use it (had to reboot it); when I forgot to turn my Wi-Fi off, I had to reboot the phone, so that the Wi-Fi could work again, and other smaller issues. I tried to upgrade it to Android 4.4.2, but it showed me the message "Settings has stopped" (I cheked, it is possible to upgrade to 4.4.2 from 4.2 Jellybean). I liked the phone, because it worked well enough for me, it looks good, so sad that I have to look for another one.

But after latest update is working fine....
BUT speaker won't work under any condition with the handset facing upside....tried almost all possible options....

i buy this phone about one year ago, alot of problem , even google play service can missing after factory reset, camera will hang and the quality of picture is very poor, sometime cannot detect memory card also, the connectivity is very poor, a lot of cache , have to clean every day, i will not suggest friend to buy lenovo phone😠
