This tablet is a real turd. Manafcture date of July 2017, slow Mediatek garbage with **1** GB RAM. It makes using this tablet painfully slow for even light web browsing/media.
I swore I'd never touch anything with Mediatek inside again, but caught this tablet on sale, and I regret buying it.
Seriously though, 1GB of RAM for a tablet that was released in 2016???? Get real.

Very good and inexpensive. I took 2GB, and occupied about 1.4GB of RAM. Dump USB on the go. For the money I gave, a good investment. It does not support Whatsapp but supports Viber, FB, Instagram etc

This tablet seems to be giving a lot of problems -
1. when I set up an external card as internal memory to shift my apps on it, apps such as Facebook and Skype stopped working. Every now and then an app crashes and the tab refuses to let me install FB and Skype anymore.
2. When I switch my data network from a sim1 operator to a sim2 operator, it doesn't connect to the internet at all. I have to restart the tab to get it to connect sim2 to its data network.
3. When I restart my tab, the apps that have been installed on the external card disappear. I have to manually go to settings and check external card memory usage after which apps load. As a result, if I have added any of those icons to the home screen, they disappear.
Is anyone else facing any of these issues? Thanks

I have had an LTE model for about 2 months. Overall it is a good tablet for the price. I strongly recommend buying the LTE version as it has 2 GB RAM. Additionally it can be used as a phone. Call quality is good.
About the screen. For HD resolution it is good. Decent experience for reading books and watching videos. It has Adaptive Display Custom Mode (a kind of True Tone), but automatic brightness might be erratic. If you need a FHD screen, wait for TAB 4 8, but then you will miss phone functionality.
GPS is fast and precise. USB OTG works with external keyboard, mouse, flash memory. The tablet can be connected to a PC and Mac as an external storage.
SD card should be formatted as an external storage. First I formated it as internal storage, but then the tablet became abnormally slow, and icons tended to disappear for the apps which were moved to SD.
First I had a terrible experience with the YouTube app. The video was stuttering, so I even used TubeMate for having a normal experience. After factory reset I managed to delete the pre-installed YouTube app and to replace it with the one from the Play store. Now all YouTube videos can be played without any problems.
And as it is usual for any Lenovo product - no updates. It is July, but the security patch level is of January 2017.

Definitely not a professional class tab to take to the office, but for simple home use, and for just $89.00 plus tax at Office Depot, pretty dang good. Great display!! Holds power like a champ!!

Bought one this past weekend. Runs very smooth. Very little on the way of bloatware. Watch out, because Office Depot carries Model Number 170001, and Walmart carries 170003. Nice experience overall, but the shortest power cord I've ever seen.
