Anonymous, 13 Sep 2016Lenovo doesn't give Marshmallow update because it's an Inte... moreIf intel drpped support for atom lineup it doesn't means that they can't give update because 1.CyanogenMod have given approx stable update of marshmallow to Asus ze551ml (Intel inside)
2.asus also have given their version of marshmallow
3.as I know and it's true that Lenovo is working with CyanogenMod officially on their zuk lineup so atleast they can give marshmallow from cm team
4.there is a website which have realised open-source Android nougat (7.0) codes for x86 devices intel=x86 so Lenovo can try to give marshmallow for s8 tablet.
Sorry,And no offense for you

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2016Lenovo tab s8 Lollipop get's "53k" on antutu (v6.2.1) more ... moreLenovo doesn't give Marshmallow update because it's an Intel Tablet and Intel stopped supporting Android. When Intel gives example image for Bay Trail boards to Lenovo, Lenovo might give it an update.

Lenovo tab s8 Lollipop get's "53k" on antutu (v6.2.1) more than k4(36k) note and k3 note marshmallow get's(49k) .Even with better performance and support for larger apps why did Lenovo isn't giving marshmallow update.

Battery is fine on my daughters tabs (have 2 of these) they easily last a day (even with them using it a lot! I suggest you factory reset I've read of issues after updating to lollipop with battery, and factory resetting fixes it (or at least improves it).

AnonD-579086, 01 Sep 2016So guys should I update to lollipop??Some users have experienced problems with Lollipop update but for me, everything's good :) Go ahead, it's much better than KitKat, in my opinion :) There's still little hope that S8 will get MM or even Nougat but i'm not holding my breath.

Conned by Lenovo, 18 Aug 2016When can we expect Marshmallow or Nougat on the s8-50 ? The... moreThe most realistic answer is never but optimistic answer would be... maybe end of 2016/early next year? Lenovo's tablet support is pretty pathetic as they seem to focus on their phones more when it comes to updates. Now waiting for the impossible to happen, MM or Nougat for S8-50 *sigh*

Carmanen, 29 Jul 2016I updated to Lollipop and i'm glad i did... no problems wha... moreWhen can we expect Marshmallow or Nougat on the s8-50 ? The system update matrix on the Lenovo support website hasn't been updated for over a year, which leads me to believe that Lenovo has abandoned the tab-s8. All in all I think that Lenovo only wanted to push only one update from a 32bit android 4.4.2 KitKat to the 64bit Android 5.0 Lollipop and then draw drew the line there without having a care in the world to inform us. They could at least put on the update matrix list 'software support expired' for the tab-s8. I'm never buying Lenovo again!!!
