Hi frndz,,,, I saw some problems of this model at lenovo forums like,,,,
1.DPI changed to 320 from 240 after update and screen resolution to 700*600 something like that makes screen ugly
2.ext.sd.card ejects after 30 min. Like that in sleep mode
3. Etc etc etc
And there is no response from Lenovo for the above issues at their own Web page means what?,,,,, forget and avoid the brand lenovo ????!!!

Guys i have a doubt that the lock button and volume button are loosely mounted on the side....so will there be any issue/problem regarding this in future???? And as of nw its wrking fi9 but heats up while playng games or wrkng fr long hrs.... and flip cases r available in ebay bt no screen protector is yet available in Indian market.

Fonepad 8 will give you 9-10 hours of battery life so not that much of a difference.

The Tab S8 battery will last only for 5-6 hours on moderate usage that too on low brightness. It takes no less than 3 hours to charge it completely from 10% to 100%.

Very nice tablet. Super display with amazing sound quality. I think this is under-marketed product. Only issue I saw is with otg, that too while transferring large data. Else too good.
Great calling feature... Didn't try 4g yet.

Technology progresses rapidly, new devices are released every quater. So its always better to wait. The prices go down, new devices surpass the previous generation etc. I would suggest you to wait for 3-4 months as very capable tablets are yet to be released as I mentioned previously.
I think most of the relevant topics about this Tab are covered in the previous comments here. You can read reviews at online shopping sites also. If this Tab fulfills your needs and if you can live with its shortcomings then go ahead and buy it if you cannot wait that long.

My friends also offered me to go with z ultra as it is quite refined device, and as you have already told that it's a phablet and can't generate larger view but it's all okay for me as i came across with that in an store, screen clarity is quite good and can you believe it's quite responsive though used heavily, not sure what are the things that lenovo can beat that beast but in my view you guided me a lot about, and my verdict is Z ULTRA.

Yeah the Xperia Z Ultra is quite a steal specially after the price drop.
The Tab S8 has a bad battery life. It won't last all day. Hence you cannot use it as your primary device.
The Z Ultra also has low battery life but from what I have read it is better than the Tab S8 in this regards. It will certainly last all day.
The screen size difference is big, it may not seem so but it is. Tab S8 has considerably larger screen. I consider Z Ultra as a 'Phablet' and S8 as a 'Compact Tablet'. While both devices aren't portable the Z Ultra can be carried in the pocket and be used with a bluetooth headset like a phone.
Sound quality is not good on Tab S8 through headphones (Xperia L>Tab S8>Moto G 1st Gen) Z Ultra will be better at Sound Quality. Output through Speakers is louder on S8.
I meant the screen has a yellowish tint. The whites are yellow the colours are warm. Not very noticeable in isolation but next to Nexus 7 2013 or a Caliberated Monitor you can see the difference. Z Ultra has a very good screen it almost matches Samsung's AMOLEDs.
Performance wise Tab S8 has better CPU, Z Ultra has better GPU
The OS and apps are more polished on the Xperia
I would suggest you to go with Z Ultra its a better overall package and a very good value. It was a Sony flagship at some point of time. But remember its a phablet not a tablet.
