I've also used ASUS phones and liked them very much. Lenovo a vibe P1 is an awesome phone and to my knowledge its on par with ASUS zenfone selfie or even better than it. Once the two updates (215 MB and 38 MB) are downloaded, your hanging problems and heating problems will get resolved. Regarding the camera, it is neither too good nor too bad. It is average to good. If you want to make it better then download a Camera App from Playstore and see the difference. I've downloaded CAMERA MX APP and it has made a Hugh difference in the quality of the photos and video.

If you have ordered it from Flipkart, then you can still cancel it by sending them a cancellation request. I've cancelled three times on delivery date but yet they accepted my cancellation and refunded my money. Coming to the camera problem, I request you to once again be positive. The camera is not that bad as it is being made out to be. It's not excellent or very good but good. (More than average at this price). If you want very good to excellent photos then you should go in for a high end smart phone. But there is one thing you can do to make the photos better and that is you download a camera App viz., CAMERA MX APP from Playstore and judge for yourself the difference. Please ensure you download the two OTA updates asap to make your phone more stable and also to avoid hanging and over heating problems. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for a good piece. Please let me know the results.

I'm using Sony Xperia c3dual nd its 8 mp rear camera is very bad. Others features of this phone is best. I love to take sharp photos nd play games on my phone. It is good to replace my phone with lenovo vive p1...

Heating while charging is not an issue and with current hardware technology, it is impossible to eliminate..
Please mind that the phone is having an different internal charging circuit.
.
Which makes the 4900 mAh battery get charged at 1hr... Its the circuit elements are getting heats up. No worries... recommended that don't use your phone while charging.. Please let it get charge peacefully... :-p

Pleas ensure that you have updated your phone with the latest OTA updates of 212 mb and 38 mb. If you still have problems,mt hen please do a factory reset. If still the matter is not solved then contact the store or online store Flipkart from where you have purchased the phone and request a replacement.

pp, 04 Nov 2015i got a 38 mb update few hours back apart from 250 mb one. ... moreHi , I received the phone a day ago.. I was using redmi note 4 G, phone battery is not very good. I charged it yesterday night now after normal usage remaining battery is 25%. Phone processing is slow . I don't recommend any one to buy this phone.

This is the BEST Budget Smartphone currently on display. I've exchanged my Lenovo K3 Note which was just 2.5 months old for this awesome phone. Everything is functioning very well and I can't find any con other than the rear Camera which is good but could have been better. Nevertheless, I have solved this problem by downloading a Camera App from Playstore viz., CAMERA MX. After downloading this App, I'm getting excellent results. Earlier I found K3 note rear camera better than this phones camera but not any more. Now it is very much better than Lenovo K3 Note. I would suggest to all complainants of poor camera to download this Camea App and see the difference. The phone has one Sim tray for two Nano Sims and a separate slot next to it for the SD Card. Just buy it blindly without any hesitation and hope you get a good piece. After buying it, please ensure that you download the two OTA updates for improving the stability of the phone and avoiding any heating problems. Highly recommended.

Moto g camera is better than this mobile 13MP.
If you are okay with other features and you are not looking for camera particularly then go for this.

I had chance to get hands on of this mobile for sometime yesterday. Here are my observations:
1. Quick charge of 1hour gives 3days battery on normal usage like FB, WA, Twitter, Browsing, .... (without playing games)
2. Unless you play HD games, you wont feel any heating sensation of the mobile.
3. Camera clarity is FAIR in low light conditions (inside buildings). I saw few people posting poor camera performance. I would suggest to take few mobiles having 13MP camera and compare by taking pics at the same time, then you can get to know how good or bad is camera of Vibe P1. I did this experiment with 4 mobiles at a time.
4. Quick charge will make the device heat a bit as more power is consumed by mobile.
5. Mobile heats up when you play HD games continuously, even a laptop / desktop will get heated, so no wonder why a mobile shouldn't.
6. If you manage apps well, one can get about 1.2GB RAM free for usage.
If you are a frequent and continuous game player, then try hands on of different mobiles in this range and decide.
If you dont play games, then you can buy this without other thoughts.
Finally, The specs of VibeP1 are great and priced competitively.
