Nexus 9 vs Yoga Tablet 2 8 inch

Size:
Nexus is more compact, lighter and slimmer
Nexus has less bezel area 30% vs 39% for Yoga

Display:
Res. 2048x1536 vs 1920x1200
Nexus tops Yoga because of larger display, better Colour Reproduction, sRGB Coverage and higher Contrast Ratio
Great for browsing photos
Aspect Ratio: 4:3 vs 16:10
Yoga is better for watching videos, Nexus is better for everything else

Proc:
Tegra K1 vs Atom Z3745
Atom Z3745 is slightly less powerful than the previous generation Tegra 4
Tegra K1 is the successor to Tegra 4
So Tegra K1 absolutely blows out the Atom in terms of performance specially in Graphics
Both are 64bit
But the Tegra K1 has access to the more powerful and efficient V8 instruction set as it is an ARM based processor

RAM/ROM:
Yoga has 16 GB + Expandable Micro SD
Nexus loses to Yoga as it has only 16 GB of non expandable memory
Both support USB OTG so you can attach PDs, External Hard Drives, Keyboard etc.
16 GB is sufficient for Apps, Heavy Games can be backed up and installed later, USB OTG can handle your Multimedia
So Nexus 16 GB should suffice the casual user
Both have 2 GB RAM

Software/Hardware:
Nexus has Android 5.0 Lollipop from day one!
Lollipop is way better than Kitkat. It has ART which gives Twice the Performance of Dalvik in Kitkat
Yoga has Android 4.4 Kitkat it will receive Android 5.0 in mid next year if at all

    Bought this tab yesterday... just tested it for few hours...

    - build quality - great
    - display - amazing
    - sound - good
    - UI - Installed Nova launcher over it - nice
    - performance - played Beach Buggy & Soulcraft - smooth

    I'm happy with it!

            I don´t know, I mean I bought a 16GB, WiFi version a few days ago and I don´t really like this tablet. Kinda laggy or the GPU should be weak (comparing to a 2nd gen Nexus 7)... I think I sell it on the e-bay.

                            How to play music in back ground and work with other applications like doing net surfing, reading PDFs?? After starting music if I try to move to other functions...the music gets stopped. Kindly help.

                              To disable the yellowish colors or disable Lenovo Smart Switch visit the following URL:

                                  I have recently viewed the Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet 8 and have a few questions about its features...
                                  1.What is its GPU?
                                  2.It does not have HDMI but how can i connect it to HDMI inputs (ie. through otg, or something)...
                                  3.Does it have GPS as well? If yes then which technology?4.Few details about its touch as I received few reviews that it does not have an impressive touch...

                                    on Main Screen swipe upwards you get the various toggles under that select select Lenovo Smart Switch option u get the various options like Displa and Dolby Audio Mode
                                    Select Normal under the display option the problem is solved
