I've got the phone for one week now. I love the phone!
Is there somebody who knows how the microphone works if you plug the phone into your car/radio? On my Nokia E66, I could plug in the phone in my car through AUX IN, so I could call with the mic of the phone and the speakers of the car. This was so easy to call handsfree.

That sounds okay. 2 days in normal usage is the lowest I could accept, but with most phones I checked out lately you're lucky if you can get through the day, so I'm glad it's not that bad with the BL40. 1000 mAh is just a bit weak for such a device, but frequent recharging is something I think I can put up with considering how much I like the phone... now I just need to check whether this would still fit into a trouser pocket =)

Regarding the battery, I noticed that it can last long (for me at least 2 days) - its just a matter of removing all vibration settings. Not just lessen the vibration, remove it. The vibration eats a lot of the battery. You don't need vibration if you are alerted by sound to be notified or for the responses.
Remove all vibration in:
- Sound Alert Setting
- Ringtone Setting
- Video Ringtone Setting
- Message Tone Setting
- Touch Setting
- Alarm Setting
- Games Setting
- Apps Setting
That's it! You can maximize your LG Chocolate to its full potential. No worries on battery life, you can charge it not that frequent.

Does anyone have any real-world experience measurements regarding battery life? This is the main issue where practically every single smartphone out there stumbles, falls, and dies, so I'm wondering whether the BL40 does any better there.

Criously lg has out done demselves literally,wat more dju want in a fone besides an average size dat fit in pocket,lil pouch or sumtin. I dunno wir lg gets dir ideas,dey shud fire sum1 4 dis!. Dis fone's lyk a horse(long face)......4.1inch screen,men isint dat a stretch?!(pun intended). As much as i'm a sucker 4 big screens and all,i nid a fone dat wont serve me better as a ruler. D camera may evn take beta fotos dan an 8 mp but wld u use a camera dat LONGGGG? Hw inconvenient! Nt 2 mentn awkward and pricy! Joke's on lg coz i'm nt gona buy dis fone only 2 luk lyk a big joke/freak/a broken record. I'll give dis fone an 'all minus' 4 dat single reason dat i wnt call it a hand-set......its too FREAKING LONG! Its too LONG a price 2 pay 4 big screens dnt ya think?
