More suitable for people who appreciate style with no need for heavy usage other than to make calls, write smses, listen to music, watch movies when on transit and the occasional web browsing.
HTC Hero is a smartphone that is more suitable for "business" people. If you travel a lot trying to secure multi-million dollar deals, checking your emails in the car or at a cafe constantly, putting all your schedules/meeting/appointments into a phone and like to review your sales figures using EXCEL, then go get a smartphone.

Okay...I've been reading and asking a lot of questions everywhere but I still can't seem to decide on which phone to get...I'm actually debating between two phones...the LG BL40 and the HTC Hero. Can anyone help me out in comparing the two phones and tell me which phone would be a better choice? Thanks in advance >.

The phone is and will be unpractical in comparison to other devices.

Besides the E90 is more of an agenda than a phone, no comparison can be made between them as they we're made for diferent targets and purposes.
The BL40 only targets fresh design lovers and not practical users and,as it was shown, there are a lot more fresh design lovers.
Nobody is trying to make an ugly image to LG, is just that I don't agree with this phone and, as I said earlier, a much more practical phone is LG BL42/BL20.
The BL20 has a much faster OS and a far bigger compatibility with installed applications.
The resolution of the BL40 is quite unique and this is the thing causing compatibility problems.
If you just wanna show off and do not want to use you're phone for other purposes this is the phone for you.

hey i like this phone a lot!! not only the design is great,moreover the specifications are nearly perfect.. i just have 1 question that is----- wma songs are supported bcos it is not listed...

Can I manage my mails effectively with the BL40. Does it support Push Mail like the WinMo devices? I'm unable to conclude if I need to buy this, the X2 or the 7610. Need to sync my Outlook. MS Office and Skype are welcome but sadly they work only on Winmo. Need help in deciding. A reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank U.

Does anyone know if the specs are the same for all models, referring to the 2G and 3G freqs? I want to pick up the model that is sold in Korea, but if it does not have the GSM coverage to use back home then it would be pointless.

Well im in the US and I had the bl40 for 4 days now, im pretty happy with the phone but wish it had better battery life. It does look long but side by side with the iphone its only half an inch taller but it still fits my pockets just fine.

Nokia phones are ugly compared to LG. Nokia phones are mostly popular with tech geeks (men and women alike) and "ah pek" (a derogatory term for uncles in their 40s and 50s who do not have a sense of style). LG phones are so much more appealing to ppl with good taste, style and sophistication. In Malaysia, you will see 9 out of ten ah pek using Nokia. The tenth ah pek uses a smartphone of another brand (eg HTC). The worse ah pek are those who try to be hip and fashionable by having an iPhone. Like having an iPhone means they are hip and trendy, totally disgusting. The same goes for those guys in their 30s who is on their way to becoming an ah pek.
