      Questions
      1. Is there a way to send SMS with more than 4 parts without converting it to MMS? Already checked the SMS settings and selected “Send Long Messages as: Multiple SMS” but when the SMS character exceeds 4 parts, it automatically converts to MMS.
      2. What does LCD Banner do?
      3. Is there a way to fix the SMS conversation thread in chronological order? I noticed that some SMS in my threads are not in proper order.
      4. Are there apps available for this phone? Probably to enhance some features.
Other than that the phone is working smoothly.
Battery life: 3days (moderate use) heavy texting, some calls, few browsing using wi-fi
Dual-sim function: Smooth and no problems encountered
Wi-Fi: Adequate speed, depending on Wi-Fi speed of course
      Speaker: Good and audible
Camera: Good enough for a 2MP, not good on dark lighting
Video: Not impressive but it will do for MMS, not good on dark lighting
      Calls: Clear
      LED Notification: Hardly noticeable

Now, the issue now is does it works with USB port while browsing as a modem & how does it swap while receiving calls?
Presently, I relocate to Nigeria-where exactly can I get this mobile.

Sigried, 12 Jul 2012Hi, have you encountered any problems with your phone? I bo... moreHey! Thanks for reading my comment :) Never thought i would be getting a reply haha. Anyway let me share to you my experiences with using wifi on the phone: if that happens again don't use it anymore. Some phones don't have the function of just making use of available wifis on air. And I believe this unit is one of them. It always lets you select the carrier where it will charge you. Unlike Nokia phones wherein you can disable the carrier charges this one doesn't. Better consult your nearest LG service area. Dealers can't answer you that :)

To those who have bought this LG C199 phone: How is its loudspeaker feature - does your caller sound like a tin can wherein every word is garbled or is the sound crisp and clear? 2nd, what about the phone's dual sim features - when you receive an incoming text/sms message from, let's say SIM2, do you press a certain button to go to SIM2 or does it automatically show the message that you have received? How about its counterpart when you want to make outgoing calls, is it automatic or do you have to manually shift to SIM2 or SIM1 first before calling? Hmmm, are both SIMs on automatic standby? Lastly, one person posted that the phone's wi-fi feature is fast - thats good, however, does anyone know if the application VIBER is compatible with this phone's OS? I am not that good with computers and its language. And google is not that helpful either. So i hope someone is kind enough to answer my questions. I'd appreciate it very much. Thank you!

When I first saw this phone I thought it would cost at least Php7000. It has that premium look unlike dual-sim QWERTY phones from Nokia (Asha 302) and Samsung. I was so surprised to find out that the unit actually cost around Php3700-3900 (brand new). What attracted me more is that it has WiFi, which you won’t get on other Dual-sim QWERTY phones in its price range. I was locked in to buying Nokia Asha 202 since I am looking for a dual-sim 3x4 keypad phone that I can use for texting and calls but after seeing this baby, I changed my mind. I don’t like QWERTY phones in the first place but the Premium looks+WiFi+Cheap Price were the deal-breaker. I’m looking forward to having this as my back-up phone. Also if you do a spec-to-spec comparison with BB Curve 8520, this unit will not be denied. I just hope that the battery life would be competitive (at least 2days with heavy usage) and the dual-sim function will be smooth.

I bought mine a month ago, and whenever the unit picks up an EDGE/GPRS signal from my network provider, my prepaid load gets deducted, even if i switched off data roaming, apps, email, sns, disabled mms and I even created blank internet profiles so that it wouldnt connect to the paid network.

I bought this phone yesterday @ Memo Xpress which cost Php3,890 and I'm glad I did. Screen resolution is clear, Qwerty keypad is great, sound quality is good and user-friendly. I just wish that LG added more features to it, like graphic equalizer for the mp3 player. They should have just made the camera 3megapixels instead of puny 2megapixels which is very common to low-end cellphones. It only comes with two themes (black & white) it would be better to put more 5 or 10 would be better. And I wonder, what's the purpose of "LCD Banners" for? I find it useless though. Overall nice phone for QWERTY phone seekers.

Yo! Just bought this phone yesterday becoz of a seething curiosity due to its cool design. I was wondering if it can be complemented by its user friendliness like Nokia phones. I was able to discover its functions in less than a day. Not as friendly as a dual sim Nokia but it will do. Its wifi capability sucks though. Its a big letdown. Other functions like its dual sim take some getting used to. There's a button u have to press in order to go to sim1 or sim2 in order to create a message or do a call. In a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7 :)
