I recently purchased the LG G1500 also.
For the echo- I hear ya! I took mine back and it turned out to be a software problem that was on the first 3000 editions of the phone released in Australia. So you need to get LG to upgrade the software and you should no longer have any echo

The phone itself is fine except i can't get and ringtones or anything for it. Where do I get them? And I do have GPRS on my so maybe it is not GSM????
