i am using this phone for the last 1yrs it has responded my very well it GPRS and internet access, it has beautiful ringtone and excellent pic. quality. but i am facing one problem, i could not able to open picture and sound folder in my folder it phone hangs.. pls provide me with the solution if any one has.

I am using this mobile for more than a year. I have purchased a data cable and am extensively using it to download ringtones, wallpapers and also to type and send messages. Everything is fine expect for one thing. I request you to kindly upgrade the LG1600 software with an option to save our important messages to the PC. Please do the needful. I feel this is the only main drawback in this mobile.

I'm using this mobile LG-1600
since april-2005.i'm so proud
to be an owner of it but it has
many problems which i saw in public
opinion.So i'd like 2 join with them.
My probs which i faced are given below-
1. Sms are stored at the cell.There is
no option to save it into the sim though
it saves in the sim after 100sms.
2. If i need to delete some message such as
message#85,86,87.... i've to scroll down
utill 85 & when deleted the sms it doesn't
show the next message(86) rather it starts
from the beginning(Message-1).It's too
festidious to scroll down again untill #86.
For this it kills time & decrease the
longivities of keypad.
3. It has no option for making new para
(lines)while writting text in the sms.
4. Built in increasing ring system so that
it keeps like silence when receive any
missed call.No option to change this system.
5. Built in loud alarm which is harmful
while sleeping & no option to change.
6. Others problem are already described in
public comments.
All over this are not a fact but i like
this mobile for it's size,shape,bright
display & last of its melodious symphony.

i've use tis mobile phone for about 8-10 month...and the volume is quite low...and i can't even download songs and ringtones in2 this hp...it's so weird...and it seems like very unpopular...but i like this hp...the function is good, although thr r some problems with it.

It is worst phone in this world...I am using this phone from last 5 month and i dont have enough words to explain the bugs in this phone.Few one are:
1. When u use GPRS,100% it will hang.
2. Phone is very slow.
3. If u delete 4-5 sms or entry in call register then phone restart.
4. If sms is more than 100 then all the previous sms will jump to other places and difficult to find.
5. Battery life in stand by is only one day.
6. Call disconnect anytime.(Mostly after 1 hour and 4 minute contimuous talking)
7. volume is toooooooo slow.
8. And a major problem is ,after few seconds no display on screen.it looks like phone is turn off even phone is in stand by.If user want to see that phone is off or on then he has to press any key on phone.
At last the worst phone i have ever seen in mobile world.Now i have changed the mobile and found that "East or west Nokia is the best".

How interesting. Seems to me that Telstra must've changed something on their end that has screwed up majorly for LG G1600's MMS capability (I did find it odd that the profile they originally sent was called "Telstra GPRS" and now it's call "Telstra Active" - something must've changed).
I spent 2-3 hours on the phone with Telstra trying to rectify the problem but unfortunately they denied all liability for the issue stating that this phone is not a "Telstra approved handset". What bs.
They even at one point tried to offload the burden by sending me to LG with the default settings, saying that they would need to instruct me on how to input them into the phone properly. The LG call centre person simply laughed and said it's out of their hands - back to the service carrier!
OK, so now I at least know there's one more person out there with the same issue. If anyone else out there has run into this problem with Telstra, could you please email me at hunnee_dew@hotmail.com hopefully if i can get enough people with this perhaps we can forward this onto Telstra to address.

I have the EXACT same problem. I was able to recive MMS previously with Telstra but now I have to manually download them and I still get "Download Error". I appear to be able to send MMS but can no longer receive them (it used to work fine like for you!). If you find out PLEASE let me know!!!

Howdy all
I've set my phone up with Telstra (Australia) and received the MMS and WAP settings for the G7100 as LG have said they require identical settings. While WAP now works, MMS still doesn't (I've been with Tesltra previously and it worked then - now it doesn't). What's weird is that it receives a notification only (even though I have set the Auto Download to "on"), and when I try to receive the MMS it displays "Download error". Can anybody help me out? What am I missing here?

Im using LG G1600 from 1 yr
its the worst mobile i have ever used
i can not send picture msgs.i can not
download or send ringtones.& sound
is very low.

Hi all, I am using this phone from last 1 year and had no problems. Even it fell in water once and stopped for 5 hours again it started working fine. Display is excellent , Ringtone volume is low but sound melody.
FINALLY GOOD PHONE .

LG g1600 has no composer & it has very low sound. but u can avoid this problem by setting high volume ringtone. when we are using internet on this phone, it is comfurtable than nokia.
