i think that the lg g1600 is a great phone and my ring volume is very high and i can hear it. lg is the best phone you can get anything and you dont neeed other features

How can you turn OFF the light.
It is VERY enoing at night when you want to sleep you can't because it remainds somehow in a standby mode with a low light.It is possible to have NO light?The battery is good only for 24h.Thank-you

Good small phone. Dont like the menu interface and when new it only comes with 3 backgrounds. The Good: GPRS, MMS and clear screen. The Bad: The position of the C key and the battery life. The clear plastic over the screen of the plastic cracked on mine and i rang up LG and got qouted $112 AUS dollars when i got the phone for $99 AUS brand new with $30 credit. Cant complain rathe go for a Nokia 3100 or similar.

Hi sameer here can you tell what is use of grps in a LG G 1600 mobile phone and can i keep the mobile phone in charge for the whole night thier is any problem or not

it is a great phone with a great display having low cost. can anyone help me abt the java applications.it is ahowing an error message of "midlet not installed" . wht i need to do.

this phone is hard to set up for GPRS,it's not good if you the one that like to download ringtones or wallpaper

I dont like this phone. It seems good at first but it has irritating features. It beeps when it low battery. It makes these lame music effects when you turn it on/off, kind of like windows shutting down. Not good when you want to shut down fast and discreetly. It makes this stupid chime noise when you change a setting.
It is just a lame phone. I wish I had a nokia instead.

its really a great fone.
worth for the money(Rs.4000 with bill)
great colour and slim
good reception.
great look.
in all ways its faaaaarrr bettterrr the nokia 2600(Rs. 4200 with bill but with only 4000 colours and miss lot of feature and bulky when compared with lg1600)
ssoooo dont buy nokia2600 while u get a better one for lesser money...thats lg g1600

I really like lg1600 because its seamlessly working on redhat linux without any software for GPRS

To lock the keypad, press the "." key( first key on the top left) anf then the "*" key.
It is a very nice phone.

I bought my LG G1600 1 M back, I have no prob. but I could not understand how 2 open java applications, when ever I try to open it it is giving a error saying no MIDLET installed. What i need to do, could any one help me.

iam verymuch unconfortable with your mobile model g1600... it is not working properly... and not givining even good service. the ringtone sound is very low.. sometimes the mobile shutdowns automatically... sometimes it opens automatically even it was shutted down...
please give me suggestions for trouble shooting...

i love it, my mum has one and she loves it to but we try to recieve poly ringtones for her the only problem is that she can't receive any. why? she has receive some before. we just don't get it.

Using internet on this phone is simple just activate GPRS service from your oprator.Then purchase a data cable from your dealer. Manuall y set GPRS setting under a profile in the like IP address , APN etc. Active respective profile . Now handset is ready for use. you can downlaod driver software from wowlg.com site
