Ive heard that the 16 GB version gives only 9 Gb of useable memory. Is that true?

I am a happy owner of an LG G2 for more than a month now. Before the purchase I have read hundreds of reviews just to make sure that finally I will buy a phone that satisfies me the most.
Taking into consideration that I would like to buy a phone with a bigger screen for easier typing, with android OS as windows is quite new and iphone with iOS is so expensive that I could buy two phones with the same parameters for its price, with a good camera and strong hardware I got to the conclusion that Sony Xperia Z1 or LG G2 can be a good choice for me. There are a lot of pros and contras for and against both phones. LG G2 has a better and slightly bigger display while the phone itself is smaller. Xperia Z1’s camera is better but with no significant difference, etc. What really made me choose the LG G2 was its software.
There are a lot of useful futures like the double-tap unlocking, quick memo, 3 fingers application store and I am able to make great pictures with its camera. As there is no SD card slot the 32 GB version was preferred by me because I listen to music very often. The placing of the buttons on the back of the phone was really strange for a few weeks but I got used to it and after a while it turned out to be more comfortable when the phone is in your pocket and you would like to adjust the volume for example. The battery life is also excellent.
The only negative thing that I can say about the phone is that the volume was lower than my previous phone’s and even using the pre-amp function of power amp application it was not loud enough for me. I have no clue if any solution is planned to be provided by the upcoming updates but I found a hack which solved this problem. Unfortunately I needed to root my phone which is not a good thing from warranty point of view.
After all phone I can say that I love my LG G2 very much and I can only recommend it to anyone who has the same preferences as I had.

HTC One or LG G2 which phone should i buy please help .. as both phones are costly i need to select it cautiously as i need to use the phone for a long time , may be around 2 years ...

rishi, 08 Mar 2014can anyone tell me that what are all the problems faced by ... morei have this phone for two months now. and i face no issue or what so ever, for the first time i see no reasons to root my android phone, perfornance is top, battery excellent, camera is also good unles for the lack of auto focus. changes fast. this thank is excellent, i had a smasung galaxy s4 with me some days bak and i will tell u not to compare the galaxy s4 to lg g2. lg g2 is a monster and far better than the s4.buy the g2

It's fast and battery life is amazing. Optical image stabilization really does work. If you wait for green focus box to turn green once focused the OIS kicks in

I have already completed several weeks with this phone and I liked it overall. I've only commented on other posts will improve on some software to optimize the use of FM radio and the big screen. Lately I have seen that sometimes the KnockON not work very well, it becomes unresponsive and requires multiple attempts to wake him. This insensitivity is increased after using heavy applications like games or programs that use the GPS. I have seen improvement restarting the phone to normalize that. Hope will improve the KnockON in future updates of the software. Or maybe think about putting the physical front activation button for future models. However, the G2 is still a great phone.

Lg g2 is only good for its battery and its hardware specs. Regarding its UI, buttons and software and most importantly its irritating alarm tones. I am going to exchange this for Htc one max or if the htc one next version is releasing i will go for it as soon as my next salary comes. The keyboard, knock on , power and vol buttuns will make you get so much irritated that you will never purchase lg again. Go for Htc one or max. It will make you feel very comfortable for the money you paid.
