hey guys... quick questions:

should i wait for a firmware upgrade from lg (which untill now nothing solid info seems to come out for upgrading to mm) or should i try a custom rom ?

in second case... which do you prefer in terms of stability and battery backup.

lg g2 problem, 22 Apr 2016hi guys any one here got screen issue in lg g2? what it may... moreI just replaced the whole screen and housing 2 hours ago, as I had a dead spot at the first link of a Google search, including [Images][Shopping][News] etc.

You should FIRST install a Draw/Painting app. Drawing all around your canvas should show if there are dead spots in your screen.
Once you determine dead spots, you can..
A) Buy a new screen and housing from etradesupply for ?0-60(USD) + shipping and replace it yourself (look for videos), COMPLETE DISASSEMBLY is required, or have someone who knows what they are doing fix it. Repair shops could cost 100USD or so.
B) Sell it for what it is and buy a new/used phone.

I replaced my screen and frame/housing after researching YouTube in about an hour. It's pretty simple. Be gentile and take your time.

I think the only con of this phone is the camera 🎥 performance @ night 🌃 or in low light 💡

I couldn't get those cool stuffs like Qslide, slide aside, smart screen and quick remote on Cyannogenmod, that was why I went back to stock. Only monster UI and G2 tweak box have been helping my life. But now I want to use a flashable G2 stock lollipop rom by Xdabbeb

@Rim... yes my friend G3 is strong,but phone as its-self is pretty much "dumb" because that QHD Display.Don't get me wrong QHD is beatifull and all that,but sucks out battery in blink of the eye.That's why i preffer using G2 for playing games,internet and such things and G3 for Photo-shooting,video-recording,playing music...Anyway G2 is great device and that QHD display was not necesseraly on G3 with his 5,5" size (too big if you ask me.and i have hands like "showels").

I've been using or rather abusing this phone for almost 2 years and I have to say, this one has been a soldier all along. So impressed by the hardware quality, battery life and performance (consider my not so heavy usage, I play light games, do a ton of social media stuff, click a few pics as well). So far its been one of the best phones I've used. Will be upgrading to a V10 or G5 in a month so, it is only the least I can do to give a review, a long pending one at that too. Well done G2, my firend!!

iqbal, 19 Apr 2016i have lg g2 d802. i updated it to lollipop 5.0.2 official ... moreWell if it started after the upgrade, try to perform a factory reset but I guess you may end up having to try to download the whole set of software for the phone (XDA forums) and flash it manually (also on XDA. They have some pretty good tools and guides. Somebody there might even have had the same problem as you do so it's a great starting point). This might be a hardware malfunction as well, but as that other helpful guy already said, if that is the case, there is not much you can do so let's try to poke inside the software side thus solving the problem/confirming that it likely is a hardware malfunction.

i have lg g2 d802. i updated it to lollipop 5.0.2 official rom but i have two main problems now.
1. the screen is not responding correctly for example when i touch anywhere the point responds another place.
2. it doesn't recognize sim card.
please help me how to fix the problems.

TechSrb, 19 Apr 2016@gelie525 Well if you are looking for paper holder,then ... moreIt actually is better performance-wise. G3 has SD 801 which is fairly minor improvement over SD 800 but it has a QHD display so it has to push almost double the amount of pixels G2 has to and that's pretty taxing.

@gelie525 Well if you are looking for paper holder,then you will buy SGS-4,if you are looking for powerfull toy to make a fun of even newer phones then buy LG G2,because G2 is beast.Actually i have LG G3 and LG G2,still G2 is way too better than G3,it has better feeling in hand and even performances are better in my opinion,only thing that is better on G3 its camera-nothing else.

@Sikku my dear friend...Yes Double-Tap Unlock works,Double-Tap Lock on Lockscreen works,but Double-Tap lock on Homescreen works only at Taskbar area (top area)-but that can be adjusted/fixed with Nova Launcher Prime.So far my D802 LG G2 is working perfect on this "Beanstalk" custom ROM.

pino, 17 Apr 2016its the same generation Phone so id have to say LG as its b... moreIt is the same generation but I think they were a few months apart and that can make a difference. In this particular example it meant that S4 started rolling out equipped with Snapdragon 600/Exynos Octa SoC while the G2 was one of the first phones based on the more powerful Snapdragon 800. Note that there is a later S4 variant that has SD 800 as well so the OP should really make sure which variant is available.

AnonD-527171, 17 Apr 2016what is better .. lg g2 or samsung s4 in your opinion need ... moreits the same generation Phone so id have to say LG as its build beter and more solid as samsung phones.

Till date i think samsung products feel flimsy and weak compared to other brands and the plastic they use isnt helpen at all.
