After making the leap to leave iphone & buy an android... i am shocked to find users retrieve voicemail by dialing out. Is this really how everyone not using an iphone has been living? And it's considered acceptable? I thought this was 2013, not the stone age. The lack of visual voicemal is the main reason I'm returning this phone back to at&t & going back to iphone. Why should iusers have to download an app for this? It should be standardized in all smartphones.
The lack of commonsense functions such as deleting specific text messages in a conversation string, having only your favorites in the favorites menu (why would they add common callers to this when they are not set as a fav) or being able to put favs in a cusromized order are HUGE factors for me.
Although i love many features of this phone, I find the lack of these basic features completely unacceptable. These are phones afterall & the capabilities to modify/access messages (voice & text) and contacts should be a priority for all pprogrammers and manufactures.
I'm very disappointed & am not happy about having to switch back to iphone. Maybe there will be other options for me in the future.

This phone is unique. Period. It beats the toy-looking Sumsang's, the too much overated HTC's. The poor-bravia engine-shit Sony'z. And the flushy expensive for nothing Iphon's.

Not durable? I have officemates who had their iphones spoiled-broken glass,scratched edge,lagging problem,What I don't like abou. S4 or Note3 is that they look like cheap plastic toys witt bluish background. And they lag when switching from apps to home button. My wife and I had LG phones 2 yrs + ago and until now they are stil fine with their new owners.

Considering that samsung is following Apple in real earnst and they are pricing their phones exorbitantly as Apples iphone. However considering that new phone devices get outdated quickly and upgrade is needed buying expensive phone isn't very sensible. I was impressed by the hardware and software of LG phones. However when I suggested Optimus G pro/Optimus 2 to someone who did just loose his Note II, and was looking for a worthwhile phone, he ruled it out saying that LG phones were not DURABLE and so he wouldn't consider it. Is this really so ? Will someone please give his experience !

Everyone is talking about 5.2inch display, everywhere written 5.2inch but no one is realizing that .2 is taken by on screen buttons.. so practically it is 5inch or less, which is a proper usable screen.. my brother purchased out of insufficient knowledge bcoz of 5.2inch but yesterday when I made him realize the fact he got sad... :))

im saving money for this.. but the lack of support from LG makes me think twice and choose other phones.. my LG Optimus vu p895 is stuck on ics 4.0 .. hope it could update software to jb.. bought this vu oct. 2012 the first and last update i had was on may 2013 just a stability ans performance fix.. till now i am waiting for jb.. also they are releasing vu 3.. and chances are which comes first vu 3 or JB update for optimus vu p895?

I had been using LG Vu, love the model and design but no update and went to LG service center nearby. Even the customer reps said LG lack in firmware update for most models. What is the used good hardware phone but lack in software techs???? Still want to get LG next generation Vu models but still trembling on the software. Please LG do something about it for crying out loud coz im kinda sick and tired of using your Korean competitor.

Awesome phone, I bought it a week ago in Singtel. One night, on my way back home somebody asked me how much is this phone. He said, it is so beautiful... My colleagues were also impressed by its design and performance. I am really impressed by its battery backup, I don't need to bring the charger in my office as the phone could easily last even the next day.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2013Ugly logo? Who cares....unbelievable. ...What about Logo? You like the Apple Logo or Maybe use Orange Logo for LG? I owen iPhone and S4 and just bought the G2 also. For now I rate 1) G2 2) S4 3) iphone5. Really nothing wrong with either ones.
Just wish G2 had External Memory Slot and they would not follow iPhone step and would of follow up with S4 of external Slot. Love the screen on G2
