AnonD-471431, 28 Nov 2015I hv already used this phone LG G2 almost 1,5 years, since ... moreSince you never actually posted any usage data or at least a hint about what apps and processes are running when the phone starts to overheat nor have you provided any info or comparison to the usage patterns and apps running on the Samsung devices...
and since you so compare a 1920x1080 screen to a 720x1280 screen (2.25x more pixels) and a 2012 SoC to a 2013 SoC which is much higher clocked, is built on a newer microarchitecture with a higher level of miniaturization and according to a set of benchmarks usually delivers about 2x to 10x as much performance in both the CPU and the GPU departments while retaining comparable power consumption... I conclude your conclusion is not very conclusive.

Seriously man, if your phone overheats so much, something is definitely wrong, but it's doubtful the SoC and its manufacturer are completely at fault here just because a completely different device doesn't overheat as well.

If you get a flat tire and your neighbour didn't, it doesn't have to mean the manufacturer of your tires is inferior. You just need to make sure there aren't any brats with pockets full of pins hanging around first. Try to notice a pattern, pinpoint the issue. It may be caused by a hundred different things that you can actually fix or prevent easily enough if you find out what they are.

I hv already used this phone LG G2 almost 1,5 years, since 2 months ago my phone is getting overheat, i hv already cleared cached data and force stop some application, but until now my phone still overheat....my son n my wife still used samsung note2 since 3 years ago and still running very well n never overheat n lag...so my conclusion is samsung exynos processor is better than qualcomm snapdragon.

Allegedly there is something in the works but I guess were are unlikely to see it sooner than next year so until something happens for real all we can do is speculate.
A 6.0 update would surely be nice, a move that could really inspire brand loyalty, but we can't know.

Rim, 22 Nov 2015Well, G2 is very well rounded device. The G3 overboosted it... moreyeah thats correct but if not mistaken z5 premiun is rendering all its task all time 1080p and enables 4k diesplay with multimedia content ...well i hope this media content doesnt include games because if thats the case will be worst than z3 gaming.... plus marshmallow provides 4k native support for devices so.....if sonywants to render everything in 4k then that battery will be killed.

still my phone of choice will be g2 ...maybe G5 will be a proper upgrade.... and what do u think rim..... will be any update for us 5.1.1 or 6.0 in my opinion will be 5.1.1 delayed what do u think..

iman, 23 Nov 2015i purchased Lg G2 801 last night but it have Kitkat update ... moreYou first need to upgrade to 4.4 before you can update to 5.02 but if you want my opinion.
Stay at 4.2.2 its the best rom in terms of battery life.

Unless you need a feature in 4.4 or 5.0 there is zero reason to update and your device will only get worse.

Id like to go back to 4.2.2 myself but i cant find the correct rom for my 16 gb model.

And if you use some custom kernel, like the one by Dorimanx, it can automate many such maintenance tasks, keeping the device from slowing down and jury-rigging the infamous Lollipop memory leaks.
