Oh my gosh..., 19 Feb 2015You guys seem to not understand that there is a huge differ... moreWe do see your point mate, you are partially right.

6" phones range can benefit such higher resolution, if you owned such a device you wouldn't try to argue because i do own a 6.3" phone too.

Then, you are right because for calling and texting, i don't think many people need 32K resolution.

But then without those technological advances like power said, why are you here with a G3 and its QHD resolution ? a simple Galaxy ACE phone with 320x400 wouldn't be enough for you? You are having a useless debate from a future point of view. In 3 years from now, you will laugh at any sub-QHD device coming out.

power, 19 Feb 2015I really love your comments, you are absolutely right,Life i... moreYou guys seem to not understand that there is a huge difference between a 28' 4k desktop monitor, and a 6' 4k smartphone.

                        A 28' 4k desktop monitor is 160 pixel/inch, a 6' 1080 smartphone is 400 pixel/inch, and a 6' 4k smartphone is more then 700 pixel/inch.

My point is, you shouldn't be looking at the resolution and comparing your 55' 4k TV, or your 28' 4k monitor to a 6' phablet, as there is no basis to compare the two(or three). The only way you can compare the display clarity/sharpness is in pixels per inch. This is why most rational people say "1080p is far more then enough". The truth is.... trading performance and battery life to push more pixels that you can't even see, for something that is essentially a 'mine is bigger than yours' electronic penis spec.

I wish G4 will go for the 3K display,i strongly support it and it will be the first in world,i really proud of LG,but i know that this guy here is going to be the first one to oppose it,as he said: "1080p is far more enough",what a short- sighted him,LOL...

AnonD-20890, 18 Feb 2015A laptop itself cannot play 4K videos based on the configur... moreIt literally has nothing to do with the speed, or clocks per instruction of the CPU. Smartphones have dedicated video encode/decode hardware/software installed. The fact that a seven year old CPU architecture can't natively record, or playback @4k proves nothing at all. That being said, having a 4k display on a 5-6 inch display is beyond ridiculous. In reality nobody can really tell the difference past 1080 on such a small screen. It is nothing more then snakeoil, yet people claim they can tell. You should just do what everyone else does, and laugh to yourself at how clueless those people really are. The only reason you see features like 4k capture/playback, and impractically high resolution displays is because specs sell phones. Even though there is very little 4k content available to view, and even though nobody can see more then 400 pixels per inch(which is about 1080 on a phablet size display), people will still pay more for it even if it costs them performance as well as money. Ignorance is bliss.

be honest with you, i have read about too many comments about heat up issue, white / yellow screen issue and fast battery drain issue about G3 D855 but in fact no issue found in actual.. i recently purchased and almost 10 hours wifi use and different apps download even OS update no heating issue found and no fast battery drain. 100% and after use its still 47% after 10 hours continuously wifi use (on Kitkat 4.4.2).. remaining perfect handset but only can better in camera, pic quality of inside taken is not perfect but somehow its better then other cells..

DON'T GET THIS PHONE. Unless you like ru nning out of battery by noon and charging your phone 3 or 4 times per day. Also Voice text stopped working in first 2 months and other voice/sound functions started malfunctioning at the same time. If you enjoy paying a high price for all this frustration and enjoy making multiple trips to your providers store to fix all this stuff. Otherwise a good phone.
