Got my update 3 days ago...(living in BE, DE import) very happy with the new features.. seems that ART is helping for the improved performance :)
Only issue I had after upgrade was that play services was unable to update.
Nothing that a factory reset couldn't fix :)

I have installed the update around 4pm yesterday and have been using it sinc.
Handset was getting hot initially. I just switched it OFF for 15 min and now no heating issue from more than 24 hours. Battery drained off rather quickly yeterday. But once i fully charged it in the morning and have been using it moderately. I am left with 63% of battery after 1hr 30 min of display, 1hr of talk time. Wifi on all the time and had synced with my smart watch for 3 hrs.
Everything is working fine for me. Infact its working better than kitkat for me.
But am getting an error while closing some apps(sorry apk exception. App will be closed ) . But its not affecting any functionality.
Does anyone else faceing this error msg ?
Guys go for the update and give your phone couple of days to settle down. U will definately enjoy it....

Still no update in Asia Pacific Region. I also checked it in the LG PC Suite, nothing pops up.
I got D855 which is the international variant.

just got the lollipop update via PC Suite & so far I am not liking the update.
1. UC Browser always crash (thou its for the developer to update)
2. The "clear" all notifications is now burried. say you have lots of notifications, you have to scroll down to the bottom to see the "clear" option. previously, it was sitting on the top.
3. The phone becomes little laggy compared to 4.4.2. try switching between home screen & app drawers you will observe the lagginess.
4. viewing open apps is now in layers, instead of the previous one where there are options - arrange vertically either in single or 2 columns.
5. I don't like the animations. 4.4.2 was so simple.
these are my observations after 2 hours of use after upgrading 2 lollipop.
oh by the way i have done the factory reset twice after upgrading.

No diffrence between android 4 and 5.... morePlease stop complaining about the battery unless you really force stop and disable all the unnecessary apps, disable auto brightness when staying indoors. Keeping brightness to 22%, disabling sync in all the apps etc.

while you are at "access point names", hit the 3 dots at the upper right corner & there you are, you can add new access point.
you can also delete all the access points by selecting the "reset to default" option.
once finished, make sure the access point you want to use has gray circle with green color inside on the right of the access point name you want by tapping the access point you want.

The thing is i cant edit the access point from the settings menu. I can only set the access point through a seperate application called apn manager pro.

LG disappointed here. No diffrence between android 4 and 5.
1. Expected improved 3d equalise in music player.
2. Battery drying too fast in lollipop.
3. Don't need sillys like t actions.

If you have not stored any data in the phone memory, do factory reset and then try again. Not all SIM cards provide automatic settings. Call your mobile operator and obtain the manual settings. Then feed it in the APN area. Best of luck.

I bought the phone eventually yesterday. It seems its an unlocked korean version. I've never bought such so i want to know whether i will be able to get OTA update to lollipop. And again it happens it doesn't automatically detect settings when i insert a sim and i cant edit the access point myself from the settings menu. But there is a seperate application called apn manager pro for editing the access point. Those two things are my major worry, and i can easily still go back and change it if these are red flags. So please i would appreciate any help or suggestions.
