if you see 5.1.1 on Verizon, may be you saw a custom ROM there is no official 5.1.1 for any G3 available else its Verizon or international.

I tried alot to get something but the ROM which are available for D856 has some of the issues.

I'm using G3 858HK.. and still on Kit kat.. Is it advisable to update to Lollipop or to wait for Marshmallow.. Also for me it says Your device has latest software when I check for updates.
Don't we get OTA updates??. even if Marshmaloow release will we get OTA?

if you search my channel, i did the new video with 20e. and yes procedure will remain the same if you want to flash 10f, 20d, 20e or android marshmallo in near future.

Those who have problem switch data to 3G/4G pls note; in order to make it happen, switch data Off first, than switch network to 3G/4G. If guys didn't switch data Off, you will likely not able to switch network ( stick at current 2G). Good luck
