The phone itself is great but pray you never have to deal with LG's support. I had a hardware problem with my phone within the first month that made it necessary to send the phone to LG for warranty replacement. They held the phone for a week and a half before sending me a new one and when I got it it was for a different provider so it wouldn't activate on the Sprint network. After three and a half weeks of getting nowhere with LG Sprint finally replaced the phone for free even though I didn't pay for the protection plan. The agents at LG were dismissive and even laughed at me when I told them how I almost lost my job because I couldn't be reached by phone. They'll also reject and delete any negative reviews you post on their page to keep their reviews positive. I just received a rejection email this morning to my negative review. Normally I'd say paying for the carriers protection plan is a waste of money but it's worth it in this case if only to avoid dealing with LG directly.

In the end Sprint came though with a brand new G4 that's working great so far, no thanks to LG.

brnb, 09 Aug 2015You seemed so proud of your G4, got a lot of phones before ... moreLike you said you dont own the phone so you have no idea. The camera on the G4 is in a different league to sony z3, i know this best cause i owned one. I originally wasn't going to get this phone but after reading real reviews and watching youtube videos i got the G4. Its a great phone and i cant fault it. So what if it has a plastic or leather back, i can remove the battery and add memory. Anyway dont think for one second iphone 6/6 plus is superior in any aspect other than simplicity. I sold mine so i could have more cash to get the s6 edge and g4. Which are the best phones available. I tend to use the g4 the most.

eyak_migo24, 07 Aug 2015Hi guys. I had this phone since Monday. got it from a te... moreYou seemed so proud of your G4, got a lot of phones before ending up on a G4 are you? but that `s great comparing other phones to your newest one that you have right now in your hand.. honestly speaking I don`t have a G4 yet.. but i`d been in my cell provider and they offer G4 and at the same time I had a chance to test the phone itself and all I can say is..

              - after i had my iPhone 6 plus, the screen has no change in my point of view.. well both has surpass 5" screen size right?

              - for me the G4 feels kinda light compare to my iPhone 6 plus.

              - the leather feel on the back is great, well different people has different taste on a phone some people prefer the iPhone like built all Metal and gloss yet some people does not mind about the built of the phone? more on performance wise.

              - compare to G3 a lot of improvement has been added on the G4 (correct me if I`m wrong)

              - camera?? amazing! but if camera is what you actually want? might as well go to Sony`s Z3 I mean camera wise? salute!

              -performance? great!

              - still LG`s flagship compare to G3

bottom line is I will definitely going to get the G4 I may not have experience the problem other users had but I know it`s up for me to discover.. i read reviews a lot about the G4 and a lot of people has a lot of things to say about the phone, the way they use it the feel the look and most importantly the way it performs, for me it`s all about the performance, i don`t care about if it`s plastic or metal water proof or not, shock proof or not, or whatever the build quality is as long as the phone performs the way i want it and G4 convinced me about it, you may questioned me about you don`t even have the phone in you you just had a test of the phone at the store? true! I tell you I spend more than 1 day just to get the whole idea of the phone, well the store owner is my close friend so hanging out of his store is not an issue..

also of all the problems people encountered, mind you the G4 is still on the top 10 or 5 list of best android phones out there.

I just got the G4 and so far it's pretty good. I love the overall look, but hate the size. It would be perfect at 5". The battery is not the best, but it is adequate. I'm fine with the battery life because I can replace it when it starts to decline.

Performance is good, camera is great. I use Bluetooth aptx devices for most of my audio needs so I was happy to find this device supported it. Bluetooth range is also very good. WiFi range is decent, but download speed seems only adequate... Maybe it's just my router. Over all, this is a solid device and a bargain compared to the cost of other high end devices.

I think LG did not learn the lesson regarding low sales of the big sized phones, or they have a saboteur inside their decision making team. What happened with perfectly sized LG G2, as it was stated by LG themselves!!!

The reason that I don't go for LG phones is their ugly, lousy looks or designs. The back and front of the this G4 look obsolete. The best design they created so far was of Optimus G pro E985. The G2 modal was also so-so. The back of a phone should be flat. LG should pay attention to this side also. Since I use a mobile phone mostly for calling and internet banking etc. the 5.5 inch size is quite comfortable, even a 6 incher will be better.

I love this phone....only 1 problem....the touch screen will either lag or when i start to text, it doesn't register some of my touches. Is this just mine, or does any more of you have this problem and just deal with it. Im sending it in to lg to fix the problem. This is a very annoying issue to have. When im scrolling down it stops scrolling and clicks on whatever i touched last. Very annoying

Yes, G4 is a good phone but like I said, others still prefer a smaller size with the same internal specs, what LG is doing is slightly reducing the size and downgraded the internal specs. Apple's 6 and 6+, Samsung Note 4 and S6 and Sony Z3, Z3C are perfect combos giving consumers an option. LG G4 is alone and not all people like to stretch their thumb to reach the upper icons.

                                  Hi guys.

I had this phone since Monday. got it from a telco in our place. all i can say is this...the phone is superb. for those who are having concerns about battery life, here are some tips i got from the internet to maximize it:

                                  1. Lower down the brightness level of the phone. I set it 35-50% only coz the display is so bright at 100% that you wont need set it at that point.

                                  2. GPS - instead of setting it at "HIGH ACCURACY", I set it at "Battery Saving" so i caan use the battery life on some other apps that I use more often.

                                  3. I also removed "Auto Sync" for all the emails and other accounts that I have connected to my phone. Though for some, it will be more important that they get the emails immediately.

                                  4.

Here are some things I can say about this:
                                  - very good screen resolution
                                  - i ahve also experienced heating, especially when i first had it and setting up everything i need in the phone. i downloaded apps simultaneously, maybe that explains the heating. Anyway, I experienced that same with my Iphone 5. Worst, i experience the heating in my Iphone 5 during calls.
                                  - No lags...as in..i forgot i opened a couple of apps. and they are all working in the background. and yet i have not seen it lag.
                                  - its nice to hold. its not heavy. fits just right in the hand. I had huawei g610 before. dont get me wrong that phone too is superb when it comes to performance, but its too heavy for me. i usually experience tiredness of the hand when i am using it. But this LG G4, gosh i have it in my hand most of the time and no feeling of "ngawit"
                                  - call sounds are good.
                                  - fast browsing capabilities. i dont know how lg does this but i had 2 phone simultaneously browse a certain site, LG G4 opened the site faster.

I am kind of satisfied with this phone. I am not sure about some who had bad experiences with the phone.

                                  Overall: SATISFIED!
