I just update my LG G6 870ds HKG to pie (LG UP metod) and here is my personal opinion:
- activating battery save does not dime the screen like in oreo
- the navigation bar in some black apps is white and is so enoing
- lock screen looks so big and ugly and has som problems whit the swipe animation
- my old themes does not work whit pie
- benchmarking shows oreo faster then pie
- the statusbar shortcuts luck so stupid whit the rownd icons like old ux

so i downgrade to oreo and i`m so happy i did!

The rear camera's are good, love the way it auto changes between normal and wide when zooming. As for the battery is spot on as expected. If used it wears down (gaming etc). Standby / less use gets 2 days easy for me. What's the problem? Sounds like your battery is old and overused.

            Some people asks about the best G6 version and faster updates
            Guys im using G600L south korea version using it in Egypt everything works fine 3G 4G LTE and i just removed the korean apps now using it as my daily driver for almost 8 months nothing annoying me at all dont worry about korean model u wont be locked by anything even far from korea still getting all instant updates same like people in korea being overseas won't effect on you .

              And the displays became amazingly crazy beautiful colours are so shiny like amoled and the contens became very sharp and clear like photos texts etc .... Everything works fine here and battery doing super fine since yesterday untill today still 66%
              Battery improvement 30% better ..... Camera also instant fast focus are incredibly noticeable i can say update with no worries at all ..... My only concern is where to find the dark mode icon lol

                    I love the fact that the phone has all i need flagship phones nfc,ip68(water nd dust resistent),typeC,Qhd display,4k and 1080@60fps good video quality,small bezels 18:9,finger nd face unlock,4gigram,5.7inch,good soundquality

                    Down side though 5mp camera sucks big time,lcd display sucks,rear camera sometimes,battery not so good but not that bad either.

                    But overall enjoy using it

                      Any chance anybody knows when the LG G6 for H872 for the release of Android Pie 9.0, I know Verizon release theirs just waiting for my T-Mobile Software Update.......

Personally I would recommend LG G7 ThinQ , only slightly higher pricing for good used and you get Snapdragon 845
