You know what this is? This is the jack-of-all-trades smartphone. It has all the necessary features that I want in a smartphone, and this one got them all as standard. Kudos to LG for releasing this stellar smartphone, definitely not regretting choosing this as my secondary Android smartphone.

Got the sprint version (unlocked) 2 days ago, everything was fine till I upgraded to android 10, then cellular data stopped working, there is no APN settings, APN all grayed, no way to add or edit APN. Right now I can't use internet on my phone, except wifi. I have toiled online to look for a solution to no avail. Frustrated, feel like smashing the phone. If you are still on pie, please stay there, don't upgrade yet. I don't know if its just a sprint problem, but the best advice for you is not to upgrade, untill a fix has been confirmed. I now understand why everybody talks about LG's weakness with software.

galaxy S had finally, formally ditched the 3.5MM jack. I have been watching everyday how the G9 could be in 2020. it is better to keep the 3.5MM jack. high-end earphone users do not trust those wireless tech.
a blue tooth "transceiver+AMP+battery+cable" costs around USD150. such a device probably could not last more than 3 years, because there is a non-removable battery, non-replaceable cable. a good quality wired-earphone cable could cost much more than USD150. the wireless earphones are not for serious listeners.
besides the 3.5mm jack. new models of phone better keep the 2x lens. adding a 4X lens would be a plus. go up and down the zoom power sequentially, logically
i did not want a 3x lens, while its 2x zoomed images become a software effect instead.
need the real feelings. the real sound, and real images. not those newer but lower quality ones. move towards higher fidelity always

joe nodden, 06 Feb 2020No need to give attitude. I assumed that, because you were ... moreIf I had the G8 and were able to test it, then you assumed I shouldn't ask anybody else?
If TS answered that battery thing it would be useful information and benefiting the readers. That's why this is a community.
No need to tell others what to do, and I can ask whatever needed.

Pixel is the new HTC, 05 Feb 2020I dont have the phone, isn't that obvious? My phone is V35... moreNo need to give attitude. I assumed that, because you were being specific enough to inquire about the battery life on each software version, you would've already have the phone therefore of been able to test it.

joe nodden, 05 Feb 2020Why do you ask? Just test it yourself if you have the phone. I dont have the phone, isn't that obvious?
My phone is V35 on Pie, it's due to be upgraded later to 10
The reason I'm asking because TS said he had best battery life,
but didn't state what OS his phone was..
What's your business to be cynic, buddy? I'm not asking you.

This G8 looks really nice, last year LG flagship problem was the poor battery with only 3000mhA but this year those 3500mhA looks way better to at least be a 1 full day phone.

anandreau, 09 Dec 2019LG has bad quality control. Boot loader loop (G4 and beyond... moreBoot loop did persist till G4 but is a thing of the past now with LG phones. But their reputation certainly took a hit and poor OS update added fuel to the fire. But I can swear by the hardware quality and they are one of the few mainstream manufacturers who offer decent features for the price.
