Yesterday got android 12. Now working even better. A lot better animations then before and switching between them are also smoother. Battery life is the same as before. People talk s*it!

I recently got hold of an unused new LG G8S 'EAW' version dual sim as sold in Australia. It came with the original Android 9, which I had to update OTA to Android10 and then immediately to Android 11, but that's as far as it goes. It is not possible to 'jump' over any update, updating through sequential versions is a mandatory process. In my experience only Korean domestic versions, eg. LG G8 820N or LG V50 v500N or the LG Q92 5G {Velvet light} get the OTA to Android 12. In my opinion Android 11 for these phones is nice enough.
