I have bought 2 different cables and my TV set support it but is not supported by LG Tablet.
I have called LG Support line and they have confirmed that is not supported.

I love mine. Did the one click root perfectly so I can use my system tools (RAMExpander to use larger swap file. PyFry, site survey tools, etc.). Has more than decent battery life and recharges fast. The camera is not an issue since I only use it for photos of broke gear. And I discovered quite by accident the calling via Google Hangouts works. You would need WiFi or MiDi nearby. Just very smooth in operation. Oh and the preinstalled stuff is small and actually useful. Not bad at all!

Ian unable to get Wi-Fi connection on my tab frequently going out of order more over it is not at all recognized Mr Wi-Fi signal but whereas recognizing neighbours signal any one can help me in this regard please

My wife already have LG G Pad 8.0 and i think its good device even for gaming. Of course they have 1,2 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM, but hey it's priced lower than tablets from Sony and Samsung. 1280x720 screen in this case is advantage. I also play Hearthstone which run smooth. From bigger games i play Dungeon Hunter 4.

it is only locked if you want to use a different sim card then original.
