Anonymous, 29 Jun 2016Same. Either the 'Home' or the lock screen keeps freezing.... more^Update: The problem didn't go away in Safe Mode, but everything was fine after factory reset. A third-party app probably messed up. LG Canada helpdesk were very polite and helpful in solving the problem.

    i got this phone about 4 months ago and used it for a little while before changing carriers. As with other statements, this phone is total crap. unresponsive touch screen, freezing, lag. but the worst part is that once switched i gave the phone to my mother. A week after she transferred her number to the phone it permanently crashed and would no longer boot up. Kept showing a 'Secure Booting Error' Boost was no help in resolving this problem. Kept blaming LG. LG kept blaming Boost and would not honor the warranty.

      Same. Either the 'Home' or the lock screen keeps freezing. Also, my data won't turn off even though it's set to 'off' in the Settings.

        As many others have stated, do not buy a LG G Stylo, total waste of your money. Slow, freezes, flickers, screen turns off and on, no memory and the camera is the worst. I paid $230. back in Dec. 2015. Look around at the reviews and even at new low $79.99 price now they can't sell them.. Spend a few more of your hard earned dollar's and buy a Samsung, I wish I would have.

            I got my phone and the screen would flicker a lot. My parents wont let me get a new phone so its all i have 😥

              I keep hearing about a recall on the LG Stylo, after researching issues, and reading many comments, the only major issue I have with my Stylo is the GPS having trouble finding my location while searching directions. I'm rather good at navigation so I can normally get past this issue, but I can't say I've had problems with my screen "flickering" or the speaker crackling. She holds a damn good charge throughout the day, and my service is good, and I've had it for about 3 months now. Any replies and or complaints are welcome to help me better understand other issues.

                I had an LG Volt before and I was pretty happy with it. Because of a busted screen I justified buying this LG G Stylo, mistake. I read all the reviews and it seemed like it might be ok, well not for me. Slow, like stupid slow at times, freezes and have to restart, buttons on the back is very inconvenient at times because of my case. It's not all bad but when your phone is so slow that you have to literally take time out from whatever your doing because it just doesn't want to respond, SUCKS!!! One more thing, it has this thing where if you are trying to put in your pin or password too fast it zooms in and you have to lock the screen and restart it or it wont work, stupid idea and it took me forever but I finally figured out how to turn off that stupid box thing that you would have to move around the screen before you could use other apps. Oh Yeah, it is freaking JAMED with bloat ware and worthless apps you can't delete or disable that use way too much memory. Spend more money, get a better phone, the savings weren't really worth it, but that's just my opinion.

                  My phone is very slow sometimes and my keyboard won't come up sometimes and it just randomly goes out of apps if I'm on them to long and my brightness will go to 100 percent but won't actually be at a 100 percent it's very dark

                    Omg..we have the same problem..my daughter phone doesnt send her messages..we have had many problems with this lg stylo..im sick of it as well..my daughtervwent tova different phone company got herself a new phone..she was told today that their is a recall..for her to call and they will send her a new phone..

                      I got this phone from Metro PCS nothing but trouble and I tried to replace it after 1 day because the phone has a mind of its own it flickers, changes screens at random opens apps and then closes them all while just holding it steady. So Metro POS finally gave me a replacement after 4 months and guess what, this new one does the same thing, except this one won't give you voice navigation. This phone however makes an excellent paperweight I wonder how many skips it will make on top of the lake?

They switched me into another LG G Stylo and morevproblems. Now I see Im not alone. The clerk admitted yesterday the phones are defective.

                          I've had the same GPS problems everybody has discussed. The best way I figured to keep the GPS locked is to lock your phone so the back light is not on. It will maintain lock all the way to your destination you can periodically push the lock button to light up the screen and see where you need to go. But make sure you lock it after. Is absolutely ridiculous I have to do this because LG will not acknowledge a problem.

                              I got this phone when it first came out. I have never had a problem with it until they did this major update. Screen flickers, sometimes when i have to restart it, no names come up in contacts. Wish i could take back doing that update. Cuz before i really did like my phone.

                                I bou bought this phone less than 2 months ago very displeased the speaker would crackle and pop when sound came from it... Finally I had enough and took it to Metro Pcs store and it was a total warranty deal... Now I have the new one and the GPS sucks I've updated the google app and consistently looking for GPS signal... Spoke with LG... The idiot asked me to go to my phone provider and get a temporary phone so they could repair this one he denies that this phone has any problems with GPS or any other issues, what a tool... Just google the phone model and it has a horrific GPS issues... LG will not say there is a problem because they probably have to recall this phone and they would rather displease millions of people before spending money on there crappie phone...WTF...we should get a class action lawsuit???

                                  I had the original Black LG Stylo in 2015 & the phone was a heaven sent. I had no issues. That phone was destroyed. I purchased the White with Rose Gold trim Stylo in February and THIS PHONE IS HORRIBLE! Battery life is trash, GPS loses signal, ear piece randomly stops working for days on end, and screen won't stop flickering!

My phone was only a month old when I had to call about all of the issues I have had with it, and once I finally got someone on the phone, after they hung up on me four times in a row, of course the woman didn't speak English and it took me probably about 10 "what" I have never had such a terrible experience with a phone especially one that is brand new
