I too felt the same thing initially. But then I tried calling other networks, different land lines/Mobiles from various different places. The problem remained unsolved even after it was given at the LG service centre TWICE.

adzer, 05 Jul 2010i'm from manila and i bought this today for my birthday at ... moreI'm encountering the same problem (some music files is cut at the beginning). People here have said that it might be solved by getting the updated firmware. But the problem is that it seems that LG doesn't support over-the-net updating for this model so that's kinda disappointing.
People are telling of Authorized Service Centers, but most of the Authorizes Service Centers here in Manila that I went to only offer technical fixes for phones that are still within warranty.
Geez, it really bites sometimes. Random mp3's being cut, and no radio minimizing. Hassle.

ekankika, 17 Jul 2010while sum people hv said dat it does hv a very gud speaker ... morewhile playing MP3s in MP3 player, the activated Dolby Mobile surround technology hush downs the volume to a lower level.. and then applies the Dolby effects which brings surrounded sound. this also ensures NO DAMAGE to the loud speakers even you're listening in full volume.
but if you set the equalizer to NONE, than you'll find HIGH VOLUME with NOISE. the sound is still perfect but it's not good for the speakers and the batteries if you're listening music through the loud speakers for hours and hours.

The problem is with ... morei think that's not a problem of the handset you're using, rather it could be a problem of the NETWORK/OPERATOR mainly.. and the other persons HANDSET to whom you're talking to.. i've seen almost all the Chinese handsets gives your voice as a reply in very low volume.. but the problem is seen mostly because of the weak signal and clarity tech offered by the Operator.

Dan, 08 Jul 2010Have u try manual format fat32 from pc?its solved many prob... morethanks for your advice. i've tried reformatting my sd card a couple of times, but still it didn't work. i'll just try my luck with the software update and hope that it will solve my problem.

I had purchased this mobile in Jan'10. The problem is with the voice clarity. The voice echos- I hear my own voice thro the speaker. Got it checked twice with the service centres, But no improvement yet. Can anybody suggest to rectify this proble,

For past 1yr am using this handset,I haven't faced any problem with this handset,the beauty of the phone is its music and battery backup,you play music for up to 12hrs,only drawback in LG is you won't be able to open the images or photos taken from high mega pixel cameras where as other mobiles such Nokia,sony eric and samsung supports.and it does not support most of the games.

Its great phone and have a super sound and super quality I loved it the battry is not v.bad
its relly fast and the camera is excellent
its haigher than Nokia 5130 Xpress Music and N73 and Nokia 6233
Its have a mp3 player and 3 speakers Tow stereo and one woofer

for the people who is facing voice clarity problems:
while we talk in silent condition, we hold the handset in a little distance from our mouth and we don't face any voice clarity related issues.
now let me remind you that this handset has noise cancellation feature. which starts working in a noisy condition mainly. so if you're traveling in a bus, or walking on roads and talking the feature starts to do its job. now, IF YOU feel that you need to bring the microphone closure to your mouth to make sounds clear, this will be treated as NOISE by the handset and will be canceled. this is why most of the people complaints about this problem while 'on the go'.
now i suggest you not to do anything while in a noisy place. i mean, just keep the distance of microphone from your mouth like you've kept in silent places. you'll see dramatically your problem is solved, at least i hope so. just don't make your voice a NOISE.
i've talked with my friends, in violent sound conditions, with a very low volume of voice that even i haven't heard what i said, but the other side was hearing me clearly. trust me, if you succeed this NOISE trick, you'll love to talk with this handset, otherwise not..

But firmware update most recommended. For info i hv F firmware with fat32 microsd format.

my ph (lg gm200), after start up never gives a sound unless i press the volume rocker. the profile activated is outdoor. i've tried general too, but this problem persists. only after pressing the volume rocker, just after start up the ph gives incoming ringing sound. why is this prob ? can any1 help me ? i'm from india. thanx in advance.

i'm from manila and i bought this today for my birthday at a ridiculously low price (only P4450) including a 2GB sandisk sd card. i really like this phone but how come some of my mp3s doesn't play while some would play but it will start in the middle of the song? anyone having the same prob? please help me.

The phone is justquite fantastic based only upon its sound quality.fantastic stereo dolby features that brings u feel even for a boring track.but the other features regarding camera sms storage is not upto mark.muzic lovers should really worth own it.

maria, 04 Jul 2010my phone hang too much and it currpt the images in mmc. how... moreuse a S.D. (secured digital) Card rather M.M.C. and use an original piece. like transcend, a-data, kingstone etc. this will stop both file corruption and hangs.
and if the hanging problem persists after this then you'll need a firmware update to make things right.
