Ho... moreDude.. This fone is awesome, using for the third day today and the battery is still not drained out. Hearing music, playing games, running applications, moderate msgin and low calling, still its too good. Did u read my earlier post to which u replied? Hope LG do what i have asked for to the GM200.
One more thing that the firmware needs alteration is wheneva i am playing a game or running an application, if i get a msg the cell vibrates. It would be gr8 if the msg appears and the game or application pauses and once the reply is done or simply escaped the application can be resumed. Can this vibration changed to msg tone?
Wud u advise me to go to the LG service center for firmware upgrade? How can i know that my cells firmware is the most recent upgraded one?
Kudos to LG and GM 200! U rock huys :)

Hope you have good radio reception in you locality. the common radio frequencies for popular stations are 91.9, 92.7, 93.5, 94.3, 98.3 and 101.5. These are some of the stations I receive in my locality. Try them. Only the station names changes usually. The frequencies tend to remain more or les the same.
In each channel select edit channel and enter the frequency directly rather than auto scanning. It is much more easier and less tedious.
About auto keypad lock.. goto security settings--> Auto keylock and turn it OFF. that should do it.

Just follow this step.
Copy all your mp3's to the predefined sounds folder and not to any other folder.
Make sure that the repeat is set to 'off' or 'all'.
It should play the mp3's continuously. The mp3's will be automatically detected by the player and sorted accordingly.

varun, 03 Jan 2010i have tried out bolt browser lite version and running good... moreI don't exactly know the code for checking firmware version. just try the code 2945#*77#. It opens a hidden menu where you can check the version of BT address and debug software and stuff like that.

Hello Guys..
Got this fone yest from Univercell Belgaum, karnataka INDIA for 5120INR, after a lot of research and guidance especially from Nevin, he is the "LG GM 200 GURU", LOLz. PPl this fone is one pocket dynamo. I have installed opera mini, numbuzz and minibrowser. U want more? I have downloaded the oxford dictionary, GRE applications, Games- Splinter cell, Prince of persia, Asphalt, guys one more thing i got to know is that almost all the games and applications of SE K750i run on the GM 200. Its a rocking fone. Awesome sound, and there are lots of options for sound equaliser. Really really satisfied with the fone. Except for 1 thing..
The music wont run if u go into the applications or games and wen u come out of the applications the Music player is vanished. Hope LG upgrade the version and this problem is sorted out. At least the song that was playing should be resumed once the game or application is exit.
The cam is not that great(does not by any chance feels a 2mp cam) May be there is some setting issue i got to rectify, Anyways thats fine :)
Hi Nevin can u tell me how can i set the FM? I don seem to get any frequencies. One more thing my fones keypad gets lockked by itself in 5 secs, i tried but i am not getting the setting right :o?
Final word to the LG. If u guys can do the foll to the GM, I can write it and give that none can beat the GM 200.
1. Get more themes also themes that can be downloaded.
2. Increase the screen resolution(atleast320*240 pixels) and size(atleast2.2").
3. If not xenon flash atleast a LED flash, like the one on the SE W810i that can even be used as a torch.
4. Provide in ear headphones(bud like), and also one touch music control keys on the headset.
5.Instead of two ports, get a universal port for usb, charger, headsets which must have two 3.5mm jack, so that its great for music loving couples, Lolz.
6. Get wireless AM Radio aswell on GM 200 like that on KM335.
This would make the GM200 a world beater in the mid segment mobile market, The GM will be invincible. Would not mind paying double of what i paid for the current one.
Last word to all the Prospective Buyers..
If ur looking for a mid range fone then do not think even once, just go for the LG KM200. Its just a great deal. "PAISA WASOOL". Its Rockin!

Think the last firmware is dated nov 2009 right? Has any had an update after that or very recently?
last week I just thought of updating the firmware and took it to the LG asc. They told me that the service center in my city does not do online updating service and the only version that they have wih them was the version released on november 2009. I just find it a bit farfetched. Anyway... they told me that no new firmware version has been released yet.

Yesterday I tried on of my colleagues gm200 be... moreNo Vijay.... I'm using GM200 for morethan 3 months now and so far I haven't come accross the problem you've stated above. There might be something fundamentally wrong with your friend's phone. .
The music quality of GM200 is one of it's highlights. I have personally compared it with many other music phones especially the 5130. I do agree that the audio quality of 5130 is quite a bit better than GM200 but other than that, the difference is almost unnoticeable. All the other parameters are at par with 5130. And compared to other low end walkman's, nothing comes even close to GM200 in terms of quality and audio output. Just advice your friend to try and get a firmware update. It should resolve the problem.

Yesterday I tried on of my colleagues gm200 because even i want to buy one for me. But the flaw that i noted is that unfortunately all the songs begin half the way like it almost skipped few seconds from the start and then continued to play. None of the songs in his handset begin from the start. I personally send few songs from my mobile to his handset through bluetooth but still the same problem persist. Can you please tell me why this problem is happening. Or else I would like to buy someother handset instead of gm200.

Aditya, 02 Jan 2010My GM200's earphones are having some problem from past 2 da... moreIt's probably due to a collapsed speaker diaphram. I come accross the same problem when I listen to music while on bed. Try blowing air through the small openings on the other side of the earphones with a little force and see if it works. otherwise take it to the service center. Think accessories come with a period of 6 month warranty.

My GM200's earphones are having some problem from past 2 days...the right earphone has lost the loudness when compared to the left one......

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2009can we use GM200 as a modem for internet connection? Yes ofcourse... it's easier using the LG internet cube application that comes bundled with the PC sync software. I'm using Aircel pocket internet on my Windows 7 and I get download seeeds of 20KBps or 160Kbps.
