Hey gyes, its really a good handset. Its sound qlty is 2 good. Camra is really perfect quality. But its batrry backup is nt not good. Also a problem in software update,plz help.

Found a neat trick today...
Today I just purchased a new BT dongle (Enter smallest BT dongle) with 2.0 support. Installed the drivers and all the software and started it. My phone was paired and after that, under the software options, I added my computer drive with all the mp3's stored in it on the shared FTP folder.
Next on the phone, under all services, I selected file transfer service and then connected my PC.
Walla.... Now I can access all the files and folders in my PC wirelessly and get whatever files I want from my PC remotely.
It might seem like i'm a bit idle, but who cares when I can get the files I like on the other room without staring at the monitor all the time. And the BT transfer speeds are also in the range of 50-60KBps.
You should try it out too.. might be a bit unorthodox but it is fun.

The best thing to do is to take it to the nearest LG care and get your firmware updated ASAP. I got a bit of improvement on the camera side with my second update. The photo quality in low light conditions have been improved. The pics appear a bit more brighter without an increase in noise levels.

photo quality is far far better then nokia 5130 xm or 3500 they just claim to be 2 mega pixel but they are less.nevin can u help me 2 use which software 2 enhance the picture quality.

I see that maximum people is complaining about the display colour and size LG gm200. But for me, the display is quite ok. The colours are all sharp and appears much more saturated. Visibility under the sunlight is also satisfactory for a non reflective TFT dispaly. The display brightness is superb when compared to even phones with 16M colour displays. The 262k colour feels a bit more colourful thanks to the brighter display. If the display just had a bit more resolution, then it would definitely beat all others in this segment. over all i want to say all as compair price this is very better mobile.

Hi All,
having gone through this forum on GM200, and having seen the review of many other brands, under this mid level segment, I finally zeroed on the GM200 and bought one 2 days ago, At the onset I must say although the appearance, is quite plain, on the contrary the multimedia features especially the FM and the MP players are really very impressive for a mobile phone which at the outset gives the average budget conscious user, an affordable set in the GM 200. Further more looking at one's health point of view its SAR is very minimal at .417 W/G which I think safe.
On the contrary, i noticed , that not many have commented on the SAR values of most of the sets, available under different brands, but point out few feature that need not be made available,for different market segments.
The GM200, is not a perfect set either, since it lacks a very basic, feature like personalized ringtone feature, and area information, which is informative.
conclusively, i must agree that this is a good set, with a very good battery life,( I initially charged it 2 days ago and its still running with average utilization).
A device that one can probably think of buying.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Sorry bro GM200 is not supported yet. it is better that you take it to the nearest LG care for updating the firmware. It is absolutely free and takes only about an hour. BTW they are releasing bug fixes and updates every week so if you planning to update, please let me know the changes.

phone is convient bt camera resolution & video resolution is very bad.
sound is verry good in compare 2 all mobiles

It's just a music phone but I found out the pic quality to be better than any other phones in this segment. I have compared it with even Nokia 6233 the so called best 2mp camera phone and found out that the pic quality is actually better than 6233. The noise levels are appreciably low and the detailing is much higher.
Please do not look at this phone with prejudiced eyes. Tht's the problem with most people here. They still think nokia is the best at everything.
And dear friend if you change the resolution to 320x240 or VGA, you will get upto 4x zoom levels. But it is not wise to use digital zooms as it only results in degrading the pic quality. If you already knew this, you wouldn't complain.

I have some question.Please someone using this phone answer plz.
1.Can we install any other java application such as opera,ebuddy or games or themes in this phone?or it gives error messsage?
2.Can we check gmail or yahoomail or facebook in this phone?or it gives DNS error and bad request time?
3.Is it a multitasking Phone?
4.Hows the picture quality of this phone?
5.Hows the sound quality of mp3 and FM?Can we record FM?
6.Does Firmware updates sove all above problems?If So then how to update the Firmware and please provide Link?

photo quality is very bad & zoom facility are not available in gm 200. sound is good quality but compare to money did not fit in feature.

Hey guys, just made a battery endurance test yesterday. I was able to get 1 1/2 hours of continuous radio playback at full volume through the speakerphone, about six hours of music playback, about 10-15 texting and about 1 1/2 hours of bluetooth usage for transfer of files between the PC. And the battery came down only today afternoon. Got it fully charged in less than 2 hours.

Stranger , 13 Nov 2009Old Headset was not good for your ears.Becos u can feel pai... moreThank God it supports 3.5mm jack. i hate these proprietary ports. It's just another way for companies to sell us their junk. I have three earphones which I use for different occassions. I use my OEM headset to listen to music while i'm in bed. It fits nicely and won't give you a headache. I do own a Philips SHH9700 in ear earphones which I bought for 1500rs. I don't use it often as inear earphones tend to give me a headache after a while. But it comes in very handy when I'm on long trips. Gives me excellent noise isolation and it is very easy to carry around. My real winner is the Sony MDR-ED12LP earphone. Been using it for almost a year. The sound appears as natural to my ears and no other earphones provides that much audio quality and wearing comfort as this one. It provides the perfect sound with the trademark sony bass for any kind of music. So in a way, 3.5mm jack is a real blessing and all my earphones are put to the best usage depending on the scenario.
I'd suggest you all to get a pair of Sony earphones and feel the difference.
