Ard, 02 Nov 2009we cant compare the phone quality with diferent price phone... moreBut you sure can compare audio quality...If 5130XM can do better than 5800XM, SE W995 and iphone 3G in audio quality test then there is no reason why you can't compare audio quality of all phones from different price ranges.

i have GM200, 5130 XM, SE W508, SEW880
i think 5130XM has little bit better sound output than GM200, but SE walkman phone i think they should learn to nokia and LG to produce music phone

Dan, 31 Oct 2009nevin,now what is your decision about camera quality betwen... moreHi Dan, I was surprised at both the results with my LG GM200 and Nokia 5130. Both did a good job at taking pics with convincing quality for a music phone. The Nokia pics look good on the phone's display. The colours look vivid and sharp. But things change when both the pics are viewed on PC. I think my LG pics looked a bit more realistic and had a bit more detailing in it. The colours on 5130 look a bit too saturated for a realistic look. And importantly, the noise levels or grains in 5130 was high and the quality appears to be interpolated.
So my conclusion is the 5130 pics look good on its display but my GM200 pics are a bit more realistic and the colours more natural with very little noise levels.

Vinu, 31 Oct 2009Gm is a good mobile.But we can not update the phone softwar... moreYeah it's quite unfortunate that this phone does not support OTA firmware update to date. But I do hope that it will be available as soon as the next firmware update is released.
And btw with my older firmware, I was unable to install most applications like ebuddy and Google maps but things changed after I've updated the firmware. Now everything works fine. I've even installed games of sizes above 600KB. So it is advisable to get the firmware updated as soon as possible.
Since it is a new phone and a relatively new platform by LG, there are things that needs improving. It's got the muscle. The only real issue here is the firmware.

Chandra, 31 Oct 2009Can i use this phone for modem? Yes definittely.. you can use this phone as modem. I connected it to my PC once and got 16KBps or 128Kbps speeds while downloading files. Even the speed tests proved it. The EDGE connectivity does give an advantage.

Gm is a good mobile.But we can not update the phone software & Can not install java applications like orkut etc.
Please give me a solution.
Make a new software for this mobile immediately.....

LG GM200 is very nice phone. The disadvantage is while playing FM you cann't do anything else. Otherwise its a wonderful phone @ 5500 price.
