can anyone tell me what the numbers in boxes across the top of the main screen do?? i have 1 2 or 3 ... i can highlight them but i am unsure what their actual function is???

-better display resolution (lg touchscreen sensitivity might be better because Nokia was on it's first touch phone)
-better battery
-symbian OS, the lack of a usual OS is a major drawback on the LG, java aplication are limited.
The LG doesn't support themes, GPS has a trial version software and afterwards is quite expensive (about 70$/year)

its good phone.; its good perfamence agps& wifibut camara resolusion is simply dull

It is good value for the money, however it is not clear that this phone is better than the Nokia 5800:
* Size & weight: GT505 is smaller and lighter.
* Screen size: 5800 is bigger (3.2" vs 3").
* Resolution: 5800 is better (360 x 640 vs. 240 x 400).
* Internal memory: 5800 is better (81MV vs. 60MB).
* Camera: GT505 is better (5MP vs. 3MP).
* OS: 5800 is better because you have apps (Symbian).
* Battery life: 5800 is better (400h vs. 260h in standby 2G).
* Price: similar (in Portugal): GT505=180eur, 5800=190eur
So the decision is not clear at all. I would go for the 5800 because of the Symbian OS.

can any one share the battery experience? nokia 5800 have strong battery life between charges. 5800 lasts for days continuously.what about gt505...?any one share the hands on experience....

been using this phone for 2months now and its so great even with the battery last like 5-6 days for normal usage and min of 2days for max usage :) connectivity is great too, i just love having it alot :D

i had bought this phone 1 month ago. this is a fantastic phone, better than nokia 5800 .
camera quality is good.
excellent touch response.
battery life is very good.
music player and quaility of playing song are excellent.
the browser of this phone is advanced and very good.
with 1 month experience i want to say that this phone is very good. you should buy it.
in india its price is Rs 14000.

Hi purchased this 5800 phone on diwali but really repenting b coz just check Lg gt505 phone 5mp 8gb 3 inch display for 11000rs really fantastic phone ill sell my 5800for this just c the videos in you tube guys u too luv it

i want to buy a new LG GT505 but i dont know... moreit's okay.. wifi is quite ok, zoom also ok.
i just really hate the camera shutter sound. very loud and cannot switch off. :( but the camera picture quality is good. :)
