Okay, been using this phone for more than a day now and I can say I like it but not a lot. I really like the threaded view of the messages. It's quite handy when I text more than 3 persons all at the same time, to recall what's the topic with whom. Also, it helps when you delete the whole convo to free up space. I'm getting the "Maximum limit of applications reached' notification now cuz I'm trying to go to a link my telco sent me. Idk, maybe cuz I don't have a memory card yet. I'll try buying one next week to see if that would fix the problem. I tried the camera and it's quite good too. The FM radio is fine with me. I also tried calling using the headset and it was good, crystal clear for me.

I had this phone as a present last week, and got to grips with it straight away. Lovely and easy, it's probably the best phone I've ever had.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970at the end of the day a phone is only worth how much someone is prepared to pay for it.I admit apple iPhone is very sucssesfull and is very reliable and itle be great to see what they come up with in june,BlackBerry are also very very good, idial bussines orientated phones but youve missed out HTC.HTC have been making high quality phones for the past 10 years,if you want to spend more money, get a HTC SNAP! ITS GOT THE POWER!! or you get a BlackBerry. This phone after all was only designed for the lower end of the market and NOT to compete with iPhone or Blackberry and HTC but to compete against the Samsung Genio QWERTY.LG have the GW550 to compete against the big boys.so rather than saying to all those people who want this to get a life it might be they already have a life, they just dont wanna spend the money unlike me with my HD2 but if its specs you want but without the hefty price tag,a Nokia e63 might be a hell of a lot better

Okay, I've finally made up my mind to actually buy this one rather than obsessing over its images, lol. After a week of comparing it to the Samsung CorbyTXT B3210, which is the closest competitor, LG GW300 won me. This phone looks a whole lot neater than its closest rival. Yes, I only buy mobile phones for their looks, not their spec/features. Oh and it's cheaper. I just hoped LG didn't put the 'microsd' on the card slot's plastic lid. Cuz that's the phone's physical flaw, for me. They could have put a tiny microSD card icon instead, not the term itself. This also has fewer internal memory (than B3210), but I don't care. I've been using my 2004-bought Nokia 6600 which only has more than 6mb internal memory and it already stored more than 5,000 messages before in inbox alone, without the memory card. So maybe I'm gonna try if I can do that with this phone. And I'll see if LG is a good mobile phone maker since been a Philips/SE/Nokia/Samsung user ever since mobile phones made it in our country, Philippines. So I really want to try another brand.

I bought this phone for myself a few months ago and I think that out of ten, I would give it a 6. The memory on the phone may be a problem and there are a few problems such as if the inbox is full, the phone switches off by itself but overall it does the job and I am happy with it.

Hi everyone.. I'm a die hard LG fan and I already own a LG GM200. So far, i'm very much satisfied with LG products and their services. I was looking for a QWERTY low budget phonefor heavy texting. This was the only phone worth taking a look at. I just want you guys to confirm the following things for me. For your convenience, I'll do all the explaining and you just need to fill yes or no for me...
Does this phone actually support Java multitasking?
How much memory is allocated for Java apps?
Does java support phone file access or bluetooth access?
Can apps be installed on memory card?
What is the message capacity of this phone?
Does the mp3 player automatically detect music formats like wma and aac?
The current price in India, Mobile store or Univercell?
