I have no idea what you're on about. The touchscreen is fine and if you do not like the volume you can turn it down, for sending Text's you can reduce the text quite small. Also, for more room to text, you SCROLL down to get more lines, if you dont like the T9, take it off!

So, I got this phone for the week-end. Well, intended to last more than just 2 days, but ... this phone won't make it. Let me explain.
Here are the pros.
It's stylish. Gorgeous, no doubt about it. The white Pearl is damn cute, even for men.
The keyboard is gorgeous. I write ~90 SMS/month, and let me tell you how much this thing matters to me.
Phoning quality, reception and all is good.
The screen is huge and beautiful, the pictures look good.
And ... that's all (all I have valued, at least !)
The means
Internet is ... not that bad.
Here are the cons.
Touchscreen. I hate touchescreen ! I don't want an iPhone, I want a phone ! The day I'll want an iPhone, with the dirty screen, I'll get an iPhone. With its reactivity, its look and feel and so on. With this phone, I get stuck with a LG UI, LG menus, and it's not smooth at all. Scrolling harms, let's sayt it very loud.
Accelerometer. I hate it. Accelerometer is a way for the phone to guess how I want my pictures to be seen. Hey, wait a minute. I am an human. I decide whether I wanna see it landscape or portrait. And even if a machine is to guess, please, make it faster. No sir, 3 seconds to guess is not acceptable !
UI and ergonomy. I'm a Nokia-boy. But I am quite ready to change for better. Unfortunately, LG is not that better. Sorry guys, hire some ergonomists.
Here is the really really cons, what ruins the pros and make me return this phone.
Messaging. I mean, what's the point having a gorgeous keyboard, huge screen (400x280), if you can't read, or if you can't write. I can't read cause the font size is too big. You can lower it, but not that low. All in all, you can really easily read ... not that much. Writing a SMS, I can't see whom I send it, and I don't have more than 4 lines of text, not larger than ... 4 words ?!? What the heck. Sur I got huge buttons to send, or spell on the touchscreen. But man, I have a keyboard, let me use that keyboard. Once more : if I want an iPhone, I get an iPhone !!! Moreover, I can't write, cause, the mere 4 lines of text you have are subdued by another line of ... suggestion. Damn' T9. I don't see it very useful with a full keyboard, but it's one less line of text. To sum it up : no sender, 3 lines of text (don't even think of reading the message you're answering), dummy T9 ... Man, I took this phone for messaging, and messaging lags (not to say sucks), what do you think I did ?
I'll go back to Nokia. E71 keyboard is smaller, but I guess I'll got what I figure, what I expect from a messenger phone.
Pity, since this phone had some intersting facts.

I like the look and features of this phone ie the keyboard combined with a touch phone,Java + movable widgets,but I'm disappointed that it has no wi-fi,GPS,and the video recording quality is terrible - it's jerky at 15 frames per second and warped as you move the camera around, it's not good at night pictures.
I'm also disappointed that LG has given little or no information over the past months and has not even provided an online manual on this phone! It looks like LG don't know their own product nor support them - what a shame for a big company! One word of advice, don't buy this phone from a home shopping catalogue - they are a bunch of rip-offs by overpricing goods! Also,don't spend too much on this phone as you can find better ones with more features for the same price!
