Been to LG mobile site (UK) support pages, downloaded USB driver for GW620 but it still fails to recognise my GW620 so I cannot even attempt the official LG upgrade. This phone is such a let-down. In theory it should be great but sound quality is poor, touch-screen is often unresponsive even when trying to answer an incoming call, you cannot transfer files by bluetooth and it won't sync with my bluetooth hands-free kit in my car although it's OK with a bluetooth earpiece. Hope that something much better is available when my contract comes up for renewal in mid 2011

I tried upgrading my gw620. My firmware is- v10k, so I don't have fastboot.
What should I do to get it in boot mode ?

i just want to ask if LG provided an official update for this phone to upgrade from android 1.5 to 1.6
also can it run games like angry birds and fruit ninja or not.

The phone not so bad
the bigest promblem is wz battary and the os android1.5 ****************************
the battary i cant help u in put the os i do--
android 2.2 can be oprated on the divice easly
if u did you will bring life to it belive or not
bluetooth will work reciving and use apps named obex ftp it will help u in sending and reciving data ,
and all other option will finally work **

MY BATTERY LASTS 4 DAYS LIKE THIS:
Search on "Google Market" from your phone for "battery widget". Its Better than "Battery Minder".
This allow you to see if you have Wifi, GPS or BlueTooth ON. Also the percent of battery on your screen directly. To add to your home screen , after install just keep presed on the home screen for afew seconds and "add widget" will appear.
Also, on "Google Market" from your phone search for "advanced task killer". And kill all programs that are running!
My battery lasts 4 days like this. AND ALLWAYS Charge from OUTLET, NOT USB! Its lasts longer!

Break this phone with hammaer to get releif after spending ur money and time on this. Non of the functiona works properly in this phone.
Especialy blutooth and battery, sucks !!
We'll have to pay for the calander as well, very bad...

Well i am an owner of this phone and the android os isn't as great as i wouldve preferred with i look at a phone like the lg ally, but overall specs of this phone is pretty good compared to other droid phones. Compare this phone to a motorola droid and u see that the intouch eve's screen is more brilliant than the droids.... and the buttons r more comfortable! Battery life could be better, but I am satisfied with this phone in the end.

Openetna has released the las version 6.1 rc4.
In this version:
You can install Froyo 2.2.1
Bluetooth works, AGPS works, overclocking works, Open GL works, and so on. The only issue is the camera doesn't work to 5MPx. This is a good phone, and OPENETNA is the best project.

Dude, is it hard to read a bit the posts below?? Its says clearly below that if you go to UPDATE your LG Gw620 form LG update site you will never have Screen Freez Problem.
Every new product coming from the production line and has advanced operating system like Android, or Symbian or whateverm like a computer needs UPDATES!
