I am glad that the store where the purchase was made has 14 days return policy otherwise I would be doomed. The phone screen freezes constantly and enables me to make calls. I surfed the net and saw many complaints about screen freezing. It is a very nicely designed phone, with large keyboard and looked very practical, however it is useless if you can't make phone calls. If there is someone who know how to fix this problem I am all ears.

    GW620 its the best Android phone price-value ratio. If you update the phone on Open-Etna.com with Android 2.2 than it will FLY FAST!

        I am planning to buy this handset. ? Got some doubts, please clarify.

        How is the touch response, is it smooth?
        How is music and Camera functionality.?
        Y there is no official upgrade from LG. Is there any hardware restriction.?

        Whats the RAM, ROM of this phone. ?

                The worst Phone I ever had!There s Bluetooth on it but-no data transfer possible!!!!How rediculous is that???Battery s low all the time,Screen freezes from time to time,phone rings contacts by itself...just awful!
                As soon as i have the money,i get myself a new phone and smash the LG GW620 with the hammer!!!!!

                  ABOUT Answering when Incoming Call:
                  PUSH THE MIDLE hard BUTTON, NOT THE TOUCH SCREEN FOR ANSWER. It will answer quickly. This problem I saw also at Nokia Mini N97 or other touch phones. Do not use TOUCH SCREEN FOR ANSWER.

                  ABOUT BATTERY:
                  EVERYBODY Who complains about BATTERY..This is a SAMRT PHONE, its Smarter Than You! Its like a mini-laptop, its has CPU of 525MHZ -eats battery, it has RAM Memory- eats battery, it has large screen - eats battery... COMPRENDE?? It has what a laptop has. Just imagine it as a MINI-LAPTOP... Show me a laptop that lasts more than 10 hours even on IDLE and even if you don’t work on it? Ha? Download Advanced Task Manager and always kill processes that you do not use. Download “Battery Minder” very good soft also. Disable the GPS and Wi-Fi in the settings. Put “Luminescence” option ON in settings. The screen will adjust light depending on outside light. Put “USE ONLY 2G Networks”.. etc. Even YOU when you are hungry, you eat food.. BUY A Nokia 1100 if you WANT BLACK AND WHITE SCREEN AND 1 week BATTERY. Do Not buy SMART PHONES In general IF YOU WANT Battery life.

                  ABOUT FREEZING SOFTWARE:
                  UPDATE THE PHONE on LG Support SITE: 100% will solve your problems. THIS IS A SMART PHONE. It has ADVANCED OPERATING SYSTEM. Its like WINDOWS ON YOUR PC, YOU MUST UPDATE IT because the guys are working in fixing problems! UPDATE THE PHONE! Don’t be lazy!

                  LG GW620 its A VERY GOOD PHONE but People must learn to handle SMART PHONES!

                    Is it just me that can't stand this phone? It doesn't allow me to answer when i press the screen to answer it does nothing. The response delay is rediculous... the battery, omg, i got told it was bad, but guaranteed i have to charge it through the day or it will be flat. It freezes up on me regular, but you can't just take the battery out, you need something to remove it... the phone is just awful and they won't let me have a replacement phone... gutted :o(

                      REGARDING Internet trough GPRS.

                      If you do not want to have allways conection to internet and lose money:

                      In the wiresless settings create 2 ore more APN (access points) and 1 of them will be your orginal one from the mobile operator and the other one just give it a name like "TEST 1" and APN like 1 and hit the Return button (the sensitive key) and it will be saved. Now choose the "TEST 1 " by touching the green dot, and this way it will not connect to your real APN. And when you want internet, you just select your real APN by clicking and making it the green dot.

                        Kiwi, 27 Oct 2010Hi all, I just brought this wonderful phone on the weeke... morehi , i am also using this phone from late january 2010 and i find it very good except the bluetooth thing. now the answer to your question :- the data sign will always appear till you use gprs , high speed internet or 3g this is why it is called a smartphone because it stays connected to internet all the time and you cannot stop it :)

                          Hi all,

                          I just brought this wonderful phone on the weekend.

                          First Impressions
                          - If you haven't used a touch screen phone before, this may get some getting used too
                          - the two dedicated buttons are sensitive, has been the odd annoying time where ive hit it and exited out
                          - full qwerty keyboard is a huge bonus. words can not explain how much easier it is to do anything with this.
                          - NZ Spec only: annoying how XT (Telecom) isn't supported without 3G, hence you can not only use the 2G only function to save battery... we'll you can but you just won't send/receive txts/phone calls
                          - Like all phones it takes some handling to get used to. But the more I play around looking at stuff on the phone it gets better. I just look forward to getting a new laptop so I can get some apps going and getting it to function better.


                          Just a Question - I have the data symbol constantly on the notification bar, which is making me paranoid that im always using data. Anyone please able to help me figure how I can disable this/figure out why its constantly up.

                          Oh and is there an app similar to Nokia's Ovi Maps which allows me to use a pre downloaded map rather than use data and use google maps?

                          Anyhow, Great phone, Definetly recommend.

                            So, December or latest January we will have the 2.X update from LG.

                            Also, I know from xperience that pushing e-mails and calls with the direct request of update, a company will alocate more people.

                              there will be NO 2.x upgrade. i like LG and its quailty phones but i will take care for my next phone after this disappointment.

                                      Hi,

                                      For all those who expect to have an OFFICIAL upgrade to Android 2.x of this handset, and for all of those who claim that LG is working on it... well, they are NOT.

                                      I received direct information that due to some hardware restrictions from google, there will be no furthere upgrades to Android for GW620.
