I've owned this model for a long
time. Great reception and battery
life when you update with aftermarket
3300mAh battery and setup settings
to conserve. Great for users who
just want to text, browse net and
make phone calls.

Dontgetrippedoff, 10 May 2021Garbage. It is slow, bundled with bloat ware and it can... moreI recommend you flashing a different ROM. I installed LineageOS using this link https://lgk20.com/lg-k20-plus-custom-roms-lineage-os-aicp-resurrection-remix-incipient-os/ and now I can use 5Ghz Wi-Fi and it's rooted so I can just remove bloatware (which is nonexistent in LineageOS).

      Negatives:
-Camera is grainy when photos are taken indoors or with low light
-Struggles to play 1080p60 video from the internal storage
-Verizon version (K20V) comes with preinstalled SPYWARE / bloatware that is unable to be uninstalled
-Verizon version (K20V) includes a locked bootloader which prevents rooting or using other OSes
-Snapdragon 425 is extremely slow, applications and games take time to load and many games and applications are unusable.
-Comes with 16GB internal storage; *7*GiB is used up by system data from the factory, so you will either need a large SD card or install very few applications
-Charging port is a microUSB, which has broken at least 5 cables, the actual port is starting to reject charging
-Uncustomizable, there are 3 themes to choose from and the only dark theme uses yellow as an accent.
-The single (!) speaker is on the back, facing away from the user
-The phone emits audible noise / buzzing from the earpiece even when it is in sleep or airplane mode
-Front camera looks awful in pretty much every setting
-Rear camera caps out at 1080p30fps recording, which is a limit of the SoC

      Positives:
-Phone is pretty much indestructible with a good case; mine has lasted for over 3 years without major scratches or cracked glass
-Phone is usable in the modern era (unless you want to play modern games or don't like waiting for things to load)
-Battery lasted for about 2.5 years until I replaced it with a larger 3rd party model
-The fingerprint scanner is amazing, and it works very well on the back
-The battery is removable, the SD card is user accessible, and much of the phone is repairable.
      -The phone is extremely thin
-Outdoor or high light level photos look decent
-Screen looks awesome in mid-light levels
-Front Camera surprisingly can record 1080p30fps video, which is rare on phones of this age/price

      Conclusion:
Honestly, you probably should not buy this phone in 2021 unless you receive it for free/incredibly cheap. There are much better (and spyware free) options in the wild.
This is all my data/information that I have collected while using this phone for the past 3 years (july 2018-july 2021), and I am moving on to a new phone due to speed and camera issues.

This phone is perfect for a person that wants something basic but not too basic. Have this phone for over 3 years now, I use it to consume content, search online and listen to music.

a good memory space with the option to extend it by some little and/or more, ok camera quality but you'd have to be patient to get that "clear" picture quality.

My only reason to find a replacement is that the USB charging port is starting to unregister charge. had my simple problems with it but I want to come to the decision to find a slightly newer or different phone with similar functions but with a slight upgrade.

Had to pay around 200+$ where my previous phone was having battery problems (from overusing the phone) but I was unsatisfied with it entirely. but it was worth it.

Garbage. It is slow, bundled with bloat ware and it can't access 5ghz wifi. Also, sometimes when you plug it in, it discards everything you were doing (no save) and resets and attempts to upgrade firmware; which fails 100 percent of the time.
I got it as a cheap replacement for my iPhone 5s, and yet it is outperformed in every way by that 11 year old phone.
Might as well flush your money down the the toilet. LG you are thieves. Shame.

I've had this model over a year now. I got it as a cheap phone until I could afford to replace my iPhone that went to Davey Jones' locker on a fishing trip. I love this little guy. I may not go back to Apple. The one (knock on wood now) issue I have is the inability to get ANY OTG external functionality. If anyone is willing to share the the magic spell I need to cast to make OTG to work, I am all ears. But if all that you are looking for an inexpensive little (fairly) smart phone, I can recommend this LG M255/ K20.

This phone is a good phone to use for a little while, the camera quality is ok, the battery life is pretty good, the screen and phone is not very durable though, as it can be cracked easily. This is the phone you give your kid once they aren't old enough for a good phone but are too old for a flip phone. It has 32 gigabytes which is pretty good for a phone like this. It is a very cheap phone around 70 bucks on eBay. If you're looking for something long term or for photography or a good phone, don't get this one. If you're looking for something for about a year or a year and a half, and don't care about the camera quality, this is the phone for you. It has 4G LTE which is nice too.

Since there was a disagreement I popped my phone out of the protective shell it lives in that makes it about three times as thick and twice as heavy and popped the back open.

The battery immediately fell out so yes, it is swap-able.

More important, it was SWOLLEN which means it is a fire hazard so I ordered a new one.

So, yes it can be swapped and make sure you check it periodically just for your own safety.

Swaggy, 28 Feb 2020You CANNOT remove the battery from the k20.... What are you... moretmo version - you most definitely CAN remove the battery. In fact, you have to remove the back cover to even install or remove the SIM card.

it comes down 2G i don't know why that is crazy.

Just got one for free a few days ago. Screen just shows lines and the frame is in terrible condition but a new screen and frame is only $30 so I'm gonna repair it, would probably make a decent backup phone since I'm on T-Mobile

I named it piece of shit for a reason. . constantly crashes locksup. No response have to pull the battery. As far as the people with sd cards. If you are buying on line alot are fack. Had same problem. Best thing to do is buy from a Best buy or another reputable electronics store. This phone has never been drop or beat up in any way. It looks brand new. And its still a piece of shit.

I went thru several 128Gb SD cards, they work for a week or two then they are no longer recognized or usable.

This phone DOES NOT WORK in Asia. It doesn't work in China, HK, Taiwan nor Singapore. Reason being the LTE bands is different. USA LTE band for this phone is set to 1700MHz but in Singapore, they use 1800MHz. Bummer!!! You may end up using 2G GSM which are already phased out in many countries.
