ss, 01 Apr 2009Can any body tell me as per your experience, What exactly ... moreThere's no problem with WI-FI you just have to set up the correct Access Points and the Internet Profile under Connectivity and it works perfectly. I have no issues streaming Youtube videos directly from the built-in app or via Youtube mobile. You just have to use the correct settings for your network, I'm using my phone on ATT with T-Mobile settings (I have two SIM cards and switch them often) and have had no issues.

I bought the LG Renoir a couple of weeks ago, and when it comes to video and photos it is absolutely amazing, excelent pics and video for a camera phone, definitely one of the best out there. Music is OK, not great just average and it has some issues recognizing ID tags, minor but annoying. NOW, as a PHONE this thing totally sucks. I have no other words to better describe it... dropped calls, the quality of the sound is awful, "less bars in more places" should be it's motto. If you want a camera that also makes phone calls, buy this... on the other hand if you need a phone that can also take the occasional picture and video, then look somewhere else. Really....!

Can any body tell me as per your experience,
What exactly WI fi problems other than video streaming.
How is telephone speed, especially handling photos, when compared to N 95 or similar.
Has anybody used GPS without network support? What kind of map is used, and efficieny?
Can map database be uptdated on the net?

i did try out the phone and it really disappoint me, not only by the start up of the phone but also it lags when u drag the widgets..
sad and disappointed..
ppl like u who want dont know anything yet u act like u know everything..

Using WiFi, I can log into the Youtube webpage, but once I click on certain a video, it just doesn't allow me to watch it, saying that is not an authorized Internet profile!!

I haven't had my Renoir for long so still getting to know it after using Nokia for several years. The Renoir sounded great and everything I wanted in a phone - most of all I wanted a great camera. I used it at a wedding last night but disappointed to find the flash doesn't have an "always on" mode. The auto flash mode didn;t cut in for semi-light situations so a lot of people photos silouetted. My only major gripe about the phone is the inability to have an "flash on" mode. :-) Oh yeah, and no emoticons except the one like I just typed in but I gues I can download them.
