- No wifi.
1 reason not to buy Nokia.
-No 8mp.
I don't think the so call KFXX u mentioned is my cup of tea also... who ask u to buy that anyway.

Top 3 reasons why you should NOT get this crap:
1. Software/firmware is really BUGGY x 10000
2. Incoming ringtone and loudspeaker is too soft
3. Poor battery life
Go for Pixon of Nokia 5580
Last time, I own KF600. Regret buying that phone. Sold it off 1/2 price after use it for less than 6 mths.

They'll look int... moreyour phone is probably the problem then, orange must replace it. iv not used email. the music alphabetically is an lg software issue, hopefully they'll fix it in an update, which they will support soon. they are also gonna open a apps/games store online content download for renoir and future users..this is strong rumour.
did u get utube to work? did u have to download owt?

Ive been extremely busy for works... works and works!!
I am so going to checkout this phone at the store tonight! Cannot wait for the Review from GSMArena anymore! grrRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.....

Video cam out of sync.
Many of my texts go into outbox and report as failed, despite the recipient receiving them fine.
Email notifications repeat even after you've read the new mails. So far i've only been able to cancel them by taking the battery out.
Email typing response is painfully slow, like typing a word then waiting several seconds for the screen to update. In practice you can type nearly a whole sentence then the phone catches up in one hit, complete with the little vibration for each key press, brr,brrr,brrr,brrr.
Texting speed is however super speedy.
Music player lists tracks alphabetically not by track number. (Probably not an Orange problem but at least they know about it now)

You may have to create you own maps, but some can be donwloaded from others users. You can also create your own screen with the data fields that you want.

XMAN, 15 Nov 2008battery life ....how many days you getting My battery lasted 2 days from my first charge, considering i took about 70 photos with flash and made some calls etc I was suprised. I'm trying to find some GPS software as orange maps isn't up and running. Has anyone got some good freeware etc?

i suggest you contact orange for a repair or re-flash or new handset immediately. say the vid recording is playing up.

Does d... moreI'm not an audiophile so cannot give a long drawn out review on sound quality, What i can say is that for me, the music and films sound good when listened to through headphones, I'm sure others will find reason to complain, but i think it sounds pretty good :-)

Nicki, 16 Nov 2008Can you please tell me if this handset has a lock on it as ... moreHi it has automatic keyguard which you can set to activate after a set amount of time, I have mine set at 60secs, there is also a button on the side which you can press to lock it immediately, To unlock you have to press the menu button, then press and hold an icon on the screen for a couple of seconds.
Additionally texting personally i find really easy on this phone and i have quite fat stubby fingers.
BUT.... One little update to my Renoir, Although i have praised it highly and love it to bits. The speaker has today broken :-( it sounds really awful on loudspeaker and i cannot hear anybody on the phone as they sound like mickey mouse. So looks like mine is going to be returned for repair.

Can you please tell me if this handset has a lock on it as in a security lock code if the phone is on and idle for a period of time it locks and to use it you need to enter the un lock code....
additonally how easy is this hand set to text from?

Had the Viewty for a year and was very happy with it. Now with this Renoir its getting better! The interface had been upgraded and more logical and easier to use.
However a question to other users. I transferred mp3 files onto the phone but some songs doesnt show the title and name of the artist when its played using the phone's music player. Do other users have the same problem?

I'm a fairly heavy user, i Probably do a couple of hours minimum talking, Plus a bit of web browsing, and maybe a little playing with the camera,and the occasional movie.
I am so far getting a Full day out of it, But i would expect this to get a little better over time as the battery is conditioned, A light user should see maybe two full days out of it.

I have had this phone a week now after returning my Awful T-Mobile G1, the Renoir so far is a very good phone, There are some minor flaws such as the music player taking quite a long time to populate the play list, The camera does not (seem to) have a macro mode which is surprising considering all the other functions it DOES have, The battery has been quite good giving me a full day with a mixture of phone calls, web browsing and even watching a full movie on it.
For a touch screen, its very easy to type on and i find i can type at speed using one hand, just like my old Nokia :-)
My only real gripe so far is that the charger / headphones & USB cable all plug into the same port, meaning for instance that you cannot have the charger and headphones plugged in together, But as the battery has so far been good then this has not become a big problem (yet).
