So people who have this device... Whats it really like?

I'm very tempted as I have the Viewty and love the camera on that and the touchscreen, but then on phone arena the camera is slated?

I was wondering if they had the intention to launch some new colors like gold, pink or even some other attractive colors other then the normal black...

Jeff, 23 Oct 2008Could someone PLEEZ enlighten >>> Is the dot under the Xeno... moreI don't think that thing is an led light, i think its one of those pointer things that cameras have to indicate that its the center. my casio camera has this, and its this orange light that shoots out in the dark so all my pictures are centered :D

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2008My Renoir came yesterday, i bought it on an Orange contract... moreIn contrary, I think the widgets are not a bit pointless. These widgets give us the option to customize and easy access with the phone. Just imagine the many presses if we go thru the menu to customize our screen such the wallpaper and other stuff. So, I would dare always that widgets are more comforty to use.

My Renoir came yesterday, i bought it on an Orange contract. Im overaly pleased with it! its so easy to use, the touch screen is so much better than the Viewty, and obviosly the camera and its gadgets are cool. the only problems are the blink detection on the camera which seems to say people are blinkin o nearly every picture, but this is easy to turn off. also the widgets seem a bit...pointless. Considering this is my first touch screen phone and that i find it so easy to use i highly recomend it and its also a very sleek and stylish phone.

                            @ Jack:

Dude, cool down ... I can understand this problem, but there is a solution ...

I operated upon the Motorola L7 Headset & made it have a 3.5 mm Audio Jack ... I purchased the jack from market in some 30 Rupees something (60 cents).

So, just operate upon the headset, open it, fiddle with wires, find the common positive, left negative & right negative ... and connect it to 3.5 mm jack's three wires ... it's not too tough with a little common sense required anyways ... getting my point?

Jeff, 23 Oct 2008Could someone PLEEZ enlighten >>> Is the dot under the Xeno... moreI doubt that is a led, as it does not share the shape nor the texture of normal led-flashes on LG-phones. One thing may be of interest though. You could install a program on the Viewty called 'Viewty Bulb'. It basically changed your phone into a torch-light, making use of the entire display as much as I could figure from it. It may work asis on the Renoir (as it uses a further developed system based on the Viewty's. If it can't be installed directly, they may come with a renewed version.

Jack, 23 Oct 2008LG were asses for not including a 3.5 mm audio output jack!... moreLG phones come with a 2-piece headset, where the first part connects to your phone, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack in which the second part of the headset goes, or any other headphone with a 3.5mm jack to your liking. Before starting to diss LG, maybe first try and figure how they do things with their phone?
