this is not the real software of the original KE850 prada, that's a fake prada, i can tell when they go to choose themes it says "black theme" instead of saying "PRADA theme"
there's few fake ke850 in the market with fake accessoires and some others.

the msg inbox can only store up to 20 msgs?
i think it's really insufficient...
but overall it's a really nice phone..
too bad it's easily scratched..

daniel - got mine at ctinyc too for 800 pretty good price overnight shipping was quick too i already got used to the text messaging too its nice thx for recommandation

Hahahhh! If it wasn't a poorly copied iPhone, it would be an...average phone. Since it is a copy, it is an average piece of...chocolate chunk log...phone.

I just wrote before, i got my LG PRADA at CTI, price is going down it's 799$ now so its not bad at all, i started getting used to typing messages on it, very quick, speaker is not bad too, it works fine with cingular @ lance

great unit i like it, the text messaging isnt that much of a problem when u go for T9, i had a little problem with plugging the headset and putting in the case i thought that was pretty stupid how they designed that, but the rest seems excellent,
anybody knows any firmware upgrades or where i can download cool stuff for it? many thx - daniel.

I had doubts about this phone due to the conflicting reports ra ra ra.
Ive had it a few days now and I must it is by far the best handset ive ever had. Beyond the novelty it is a joy to use.
The touch screen very easy to use and although not lightning fast like the iphone will be is fast enough. The screen is fantastic.
The audio player is very shockingly high quality and I am a semi audiophile. One downside to the audioplayer that what might be a big point to some users is that you can't sort your music into artists albums etc it just has all songs, a bit primitive, whats more a simple software fix could probably set it right.
But what really sells it to me is the playing of videos on widescreen. The ability to have a whole series of Family Guy on a 2gb (£15-20) card is fantastic. a simple touch to make it fullscreen and landscape mode and another to bring up the onscreen controls that overlay the video. Full function, scan change view ratio etc.
If you look past the badge there is quality that is more that can be said for the likes of D&G v3's. Didn't O2 dont have an EDGE network, which is extremely annoying, as regulated to old GPRS is slooow for emails.
Autofocus on the camera is handy.
Im not a big texter but I reckon it will not take long to adapt to the keypad. Big downside no QWERTY but you cant have everything.
Calling sound quality what I would say is very good.
Im only a light user but I just keep my phoned plugged in my room when Im at home and Im never out my room for more than a couple of days so I couldnt comment on batt life for me its never dipped below 50%. It is CRUCIAL to charge it for 18 hours on first charge. THIS IS CRUCIAL to get good batt health.

JR - Battery life if fairly poor, I tend to need to charge mine daily with moderate useage. You may get two days max with light useage.

has anyone used the phone to do internet browsing? i'm about to go on an overseas holiday, and i'm thinking of getting the prada phone so i can leave my laptop/maps/lonely planet etc. at home.

Hi, to answer the California friends question. I worked for T-mobile b4. You phone is from Asia and that's why (IT IS NORMAL) you pick up Cingular signal. One of the reason is that T-mobile shares a towers with Cingular in some area. So, don't worry. Plus, in CA, in bay area, like san jose, san francisco, san mateo..etc.. Cingular have a way bettery reception than T-mobile. So.. it's good that you can pick up Cingular instead of T-mobile. But don't worry, your will NEVER be charged by Cingular..
For internet access.. or emailiing.. I am not quite sure, but what i know is that you will have to sign up the internet program with T-mobile... you will be able to use whatever emailing or.. internet access...
You might try to call T-mobile customer care by dial 611, ask for Technical Support.. but I don't think those T-mobile tech rep will know how to solve your PRADA problem... they might not even hear of this phone.
If I were you, i will try to tell whatever your phone error says ---to T-mobile tech rep.. and see if they can help you go throught for the setup... good luck...

Just got mine here in California. I am a tmobile user, but it is roaming onto cingular. Can anyone tell me how to have it pick up tmobile. Also email is giving me a dns error and browser does not work. Will these two functions work here in the states? If so, what are the settings I need to alter to make this work.

NIGELWH - can you tell me how you have found the battery life to be as i have heard various conflicting opinions. How much do you think I could realistically expect on a full charge. I would describe my usage as light to moderate.Thsnks.
