why is everyone goin on about messages not diplayin the name..... mine displays the persons name!!!

I am thinking of getting this phone. Am quite bothered that incoming messages only display phone numbers, instead of senders' names. is this due to phone setting? Has anyone managed to solve this?

so whats the difference between Ke970 and ku970? besides that one have card slot and the other doesnt and that one have 3G and one has EDGE?

i jus got the lg shine,
it looks cool, although the menu style i din like so much, the menu of the lg ke800 is really kewl,
but can anyone tell me how i can zoom in on pics?? i am not able to figure out

i was very disapounted of that-lg shine (3G version) has not card slot only 512 mb, i have Se v630i and 1gb M2 and it is enough to me, but 512mb it less than 1 gb....

for messages does it only show the number? you cant change that at all to show the name of the person? what if its a US version or you order it from the US?

I'm thinking of buying this phone, so if somebody that owns it could tell me:
1) could the files be sent via bluetooth when the phone is closed
2) could it vibe&ring at the same time
3) what's your thoughts about camera and display
4) is the typing msg comfortable

Yes it will only display phone number, which is really lame. Thus i switched to KU970, which displays the contact's name instead of the phone number. The interface of KU970 and KE970 is quite different. More customisation can be done on KU970. Downloaded Swf flash wallpapers can be used on KU970 but not on KE970, only the default ones work on KE970, chose KU970 if you dont need the MP3 music player

no, you cant set mp3 ringtone for KE970, only KU970 can, for about 5 seconds maximum length. I changed from KE970 to KU970 as the interface is much more complete.

i have a problem. whenever i receive a new msg.. it only display the phone number. but not the name. so does anyone know how to solve it?

i'm thinking about purchasing this phone, but i have a problem. is it THAT hard to see who's calling when youre exposed to light? doesnt the screen bright up so the mirror isnt exactly a mirror anymore and you could see the colors? or is it still hard to see the whose calling? also... if you see someone calling could you jus slide the phone up and answer or do you have to slide up and press something? i was also wondering if this phone has video talk like the ku? and could you do something like... when you see someone call could you instead of making a picture for them could you put a video and the video plays when the person calls? aite... jus need some feedback before i make my final decision. youtube clips would be a coo help. thanks!

What a nice phone, I love the fact that when you link to PC your pc sees the phone as a memory stick - so you can just click-dragg and dropp your mp3 and photo's to your phone - you do not need to down load s/w at all. I also liked the KE600

Hey guys...just bought this phone a week ago and I am tellin ya it's an amazing phone no problems with it's funtionality whatsoever....amazing phone a definitly worth your while phone....

*Adding to my previous comment below*
The scroller is not difficult to use. At first, I was using it to scroll AND to select, which tends to select the opposite of what I wanted. But I realized that the button to the far left of the scroller is the one you should press to actually select. The camera is a bit slow when capturing photos. I am also not a fan of the auto focus. But like I said, overall...this phone is great! Almost everybody that has seen it, wants this phone!

The LG Shine is a great phone. This attractive device acts also as an mp3 player. It comes with headphones/headset that connects to a mini controller. The speaker phone is not as loud as I desire, but it's OK. The number keypads are a flat texture, which does not give you the feel of separation of the keys. I do not recommend this phone to users with BIG fingers! It's shine does come with a price, fingerprint magnet! Overall, this phone is well worth it. ;)

got the lg shine last week. keypad can be difficult to use at times, camera is dissapointing but features and style are amazing.
one thing though, any other users out there know how to get rid of the date and time from the main screen? i prefer a clean empty looking standby screen. thanks!
