            In the box you get:
            - Handset
            - Hands Free ear phones
            - USB cable
            - User Manual (which sucks)

I went for the 1 gig MD disk so I can watch movies/tv shows on the phone.

You do need a PC Suite program in order to store/edit PhoneBook entries on your PC.

You'll need to read these posts to understand how get the most out of your phone. Things like:

            1. How to connect phone to PC and store/edit phone entries (can't store or edit SMS/text messages).

            2. How to install Java games

            3. How to make your phone function like a Flash or Pen drive.

            4. How to access secret Engineering Mode to adjust factory preset settings.

I am using this phone for 8 months with no problems. I the only thing is that its metallic type layer on the arrow keys is starting to peel off. Anyone else having this problem.
              @ Raheel
When you buy it you will get a usb cable, and headphone. There is no CD because this phone does not need a driver or PC Suite.

                    Hi Srinivas,

Here is how to install Java games in your LG KG200:

                    1. First you need two files for any one game: .JAR and .JAD. Some games have both and others do not. If you do not have both, there is free software on the net JAR Maker and JAD Maker you can use.

The JAR file is nothing but a zip format for Java. And the JAD file is nothing but a Java installer.

                    2. Once you have both the JAR and JAD files store them in one folder on your PC.

                    3. Connect your phone via USB to the PC. When prompted by the phone, switch to Mass Storage mode. Copy the game's folder from PC to the Received folder in My Stuff on your phone.

                    4. Use the phone's menu and navigate to My Stuff folder, locate the Game folder you copied, select the JAD file and select Install option.

                    5. After several seconds, the install completes and you are prompted to launch now in the phone.

How to install java games using .jad/.jar files? The .jad/.jar files are not being recognized in KG 200.
A '?' marked icon is displayed to indicate that. I tried finding information about it, but in vain. When i click the 'options' for the .jad/.jar files, only these are displayed:
                          1.Detail
                          2.Rename
                          3.Copy
                          4.Move
                          5.Delete
                          6.Delete all files
                          7.Sort

Pls reply as to what should be done for installing java games on KG 200...

                          Regards

Installing Java Applications is the same steps as installing games.

Look for the instructions about .JAD and .JAR files here in this message board.

It really simple---provided you have the files in the correct file format.

I have been using the LG KG200 for one month and now understand how to:

                                    1. Connect to PC to edit/store/backup phone book.

                                    2. Create the standard LG folders (audio, my music, video, mss, received, etc.) in the phone memory card (60mb) and extra SD card (1 gig).

                                    3. Copy media stored on the phone memory card (60mb)to my computer.

                                    4. Download, transfer, and store Java games to the phone.

Overall: This phone has fantastic features. But the user manual sucks. So you have to spend time doing research on how to get it to
do the above items I mentioned. I tried to give the quick and dirty for each. Hope this helps. I just love this phone now. Of course, its not perfect but its pretty close.

How to download a java application/game "tetris" into the LG KG200 phone?

                                      1. I downloaded a zip file in .jar format. It contains files for a java-mobile version of Tetris.

                                      2. Its stored on my PC and now I want to play it on my phone.

                                      3. I have a USB cable and can access both the built-in memory of the phone (but can't see any system files on it) and my extra SD card.

Here is where I get stuck? It does not seem possible to transfer the game into the LG KG200 via USB?

                                        Awesome post from saira_sahid@yahoo.com.

The simple instructions on how to access the LG Engineering Mode hidden menu and boost phone audio and sound quality works!!!!!!

What a mega-difference in sound. The boosted volume changes my opinion of the audio on this phone. Once you change the default factory settings, the sound is excellent with the included headset in the box.

If you have an LG KG200, taking the time to boost the audio settings is a must---otherwise you are missing out.
