Somebody posted as "dumb Phiduong" needs some serious research before posting crap.
I couldn't find anything wrong in "Phiduong's" earlier post. Yes in Korea it has 512mb memory and card slot and 320x240 screen. Its LG who released the GSM version with 128mb, no card slot and smaller screen in Europe.Maybe they have a strategy to bring another model later on.
Those who have bought it, how much did you paid? Thesedays with contract you pay a little or nothing, regardless of the screensize/memory or anything.
And If the factory unlocked costs you £270 then there are phones out there in the same price range with card slot, coz you have buy memory card separately. Peace.

Took the phone back to the shop; it was a faulty phone, I can now change the ringtones without any problem! Thanks for your help, though!

I've read about the charger problem and it only seems to have affected a small batch of phones. Take it back to the shop and get a new charger. The phone should not switch off when the charger is plugged in. Mine is fine.
About changing ringtones, check to see if your contacts have been assigned caller groups as i believe you can assign each caller group a unique ringtone. This will override any ringtone you select in your Profile. If you want to keep your caller groups and you want to use just 1 ringtone then you will have to go through each caller group and change the ringtone to the one you want to use. Hope this helps!

How should the phone work, if working correctly, when charging?
cheers

My charging problem is that when its plugged in the phone, the phone automatically goes off. However, when I take the charger out the phone automatically comes back on. Although, I have notice it does seem to charge despite turning off. STRANGE!
Mine should be replaced in two days.

Hi Guys, can anyone please tell me exactly what happens to the phone when the charger is plugged in.
I only ask, as when i plug my charger in, the phone screen goes blank after a couple of seconds, however if i slide it up to reveal the keypad, the screen comes on, and it shows the charging display. Is this the same charging problem, or when you say it powers off, you cant turn it back on again?
cheers

128 MB and no expansion slot?!
128 is filled quickly. How can it be popular i korea, do they take small pictures of small people. A taller european might not fit into the memory. More mem and it's a hit.

"weak for dropping" - I've got one of these and it seems very sturdy so believe it should cope with the standard drops!
This in white would be seriously cool!!

Just bought this phone from the Carphone Warehouse and i'm completely blown away by it! The touch pad is responsive, and *I think* it's heat sensitive as the touchpad doesn't work if I use a stylus or pen so i'm assuming the warmth of the finger does it.
Anyway, the box it came in is very classy, gives you the overall impression that you've bought something very special. I was quite surprised actually as you get some nice stuff in there like the pouch, screen cleaner/phone charm, headphones etc.
The design of the phone is extremely well done, the slide is smooth, the camera quality is good and yeah, it only has 128mb of memory but I think that's alright, I mean, if I want to listen to music then that's why i've got an Ipod!
So far, i've plugged it into my PC and only used it in mass storage device mode (i.e. drag and drop files directly in to the phone, no software needed) but haven't used the PC software yet for stuff like contacts.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with the phone, it's features and especially its looks. This is my first LG mobile and so far so good!!

Hey guys i know this is just a far out idea, but cos of it being such a small memory is there no way of getting it upgrade by someone that say is an electical engineer. say get a new bigger sized chip solder in or somthing say up to 512mb cos 128mb is bit of a waste really when it has teh focus on the music side of things with tehg controls there.
