I am using the chocolate phone and have not encountered any such problems that are posted here. Like someone complaining about his/her screen freezing and dividing...how about telling us how badly you are handling it. Apart from that yes I agree that MP3 cannot be assigned to message tones and also that the MP3 does not run in the background. Lets encourage the phone for LG to do better in the upcoming days. The phone otherwise is not all that bad.

how to download a bmp file as contact? The LG Contents bank application can only download files to the images folder, but contact pictures can onlyh be retrieved from the Photo album of the phone

I'd like to know if any other person has had problems with the screen. Mine frezes for no reason and sometimes it doesn't show anything at all, apart from just lighting up. At other times it gets scrambled and the upper part divides into two with the lower part still maintaining the previous look.
it's rather embarrassing when you want to show someone and look- no screen display or worse a scrambled one.

The keypad DOES light up in the dark. Its this stuff that only lights up in the dark and you cant see iin the day.

does anyone know why when i get send a video message i cannot receive it it wont come though get message saying notification then i click retrieve and it says error downloading.. then i get message from 02 saying i have received a message go online 2 view Can u help plzz. T..

I have this phone and it is great, but it did not smell like chocolate when I got it. Also on the box received or some advertisement pictures there is picture shown what numeric keypad lighed red, but for real it lights white.

Has anyone found an answer to these FUNDAMENTAL issues:
In text, starting a word after a full stop should automatically switch to a capital letter.
Texts should be saveable in their own folder.
mp3 music should be assignable to text alert with volume control.
Thumbnails should be available in "Photos".
Come on LG, design is nothing without basic functionality!

this phone is terrible. while it looks beautiful, the interface is bad. what's even worse is the touch pad. sometimes it just doesn't work. - i think when the phone gets warm (like when it's in your pocket), the touchpad can't sense you're touching it. i've wanted to smash it on the ground many time. i would not recommend this phone.

How do I dowload the LG contents I have the USB cable hooked up to the phone but the option only give me com port 1 and doesn't have any choice to select LG USB cable. This software provide by LG when I bought the phone.

ive just recently ordered the kg800 chocolate and it looks stunning. however ive also just gone through some reviews and alot of people didnt rate it very high as far as features and perfomance goes. i recently tried a slide phone and didnt get on with the keypad; i like to text alot. so how easy is the design to get along with? my basic question is.. is this phone really as good as it looks?
after looking at reviews i am unsure as to cancel the phone ive ordered and go for something like the motorolla v3x. i really like the look of the chocolate..but is it worth while?

i whant to buy a LG KG800, question:how long will those touch sensitive buttons with black light last? i mean how long will they work ok before they start to deteriorate, i'm asking even thou i am very carefull with phones. If someone who allreay has an KG800 can please fill me it will fantastic, thank you.

You can't change the volume for text messages. I was trying to figure that out as well, then i found out you couldnt. I know... it sux

question for any american buyers... how do you charge this phone? is the charger unique to the kg800? If so, would i need to buy an adapter from european outlets to American outlets? any help is greatly appreciated.

You can upload your own contact pictures. You need to take a 72x72 picture with the camera, then you need to make a 72x72 24bit bmp file on your computer, then replace the image on the phone. Then you can have custom contact pictures.
Also, you can upload JAVA games onto the phone using the Contents Bank. You need to open the config file in the Contents Bank folder, and put a "Y" instead of an "N" next to the Java line. Then you get the Java button when you open Contents Bank. You must put a .jar file and its corresponding .jad file into a new folder you label JAVA into the Contents Directory. It's all posted in forums.

YES, the KEYPAD does light up. I don't understand why people write with such conviction when they don't even know. Have you ever tried it?

hey ive been looking at this phone 4 a while & cant decide wether 2 get it or the samsung E900. The lg looks amazing but the samsung seems to have better memory etc... any advice on what one i should get?? plz help xox

does anybody know how to find the text message volume? I looked in profiles/personalise and there is only message alert type and tone but not volume.
