mine is v10a, I haven't encountered any problem with my phones. I'm not sure yet of the difference or improvements bet these firmware versions but if you got a problem on your phone or any other electronic device like routers etc, firmware upgrade is one solution

i bought it yesterday and i am so happy that the wifi is working in my school..yeppeee...
i am not good in technology so..maybe i ask you guys for sfware upgrade maybe...sooner

i got my phone last sunday. the only thing i notice is the battery which easily drain (never try the 12-15 hours charging). Can't get good picture at night because camera has no flash but the rest of the features are great. I'm just exploring the phone other features. Hope this it will help you

Multi-tap I guess you mean the alpha numeric keypad like the ones on regular phones, yep it does have an option for that or tilt it for it to auto rotate for you to be able to use the qwerty keyboard functionality. You do have a 3rd option for text input aside from alpha numeric (multi-tap) and qwerty keyboard and that is the handwriting recognition.

hey guys! I'm planning on buying new phone next week and I'm torn between LG KM55e and samsung STAR WIFI.
which is better? LG km555e or samsung star wifi? i'm really having a hard time in figuring it out since some of the comments regarding this matter has its pros and cons.
how was its touch screen? i mean does it have a good touch sensitivity? is it also user friendly?? does it also have an auto rotate function? and multi-tap keys? or just QWERTY?

There's an option on the phone for you to know what is the firmware version. Some units are already v10f. Go to Phone settings then Information then Handset information. There's also an option for an upgrade.

I got my LG KM555e last sunday and seems ok for now.The only problem i encountered now is the battery which easily drain. i'll try your suggestion to charge it overnight. thanks to all the information.

This phone is stable in terms of its functionality and the battery at first sucks but initially charging it, it can lasts several days even when using wifi, mp3 player or playing games

If you downloaded it on your pc, use the PC suite to install the program or transfer it to your phone then run it using the My Stuff under Entertainment menu

i think corby is a bit smaller than lg km555e in terms of the screen size..
