i have had the arena since early may and i haven,t found any problems with it as of yet, but i think the camera needs a little work as it's not the best 5mp on the market as i had a sony ericcson 5mp before this and considering this is a more advanced phone the camera should be a lot clearer or higher megap....

N97? yucks, 5800?super yucks.
Reasons:
1. both do not have multi touch control.
2. scrolling is super pain. you have to scroll from the scroll bar.

jayadi, 17 Jun 2009actually i"m lookin' 4ward 2 this product but after reading... moregreat fone for 300 gbp its way betta than the samsung tocco orignal s-class is pretty good betta than i thought best fone ive had n ive had some really good fones worth more than this 1

I dumped this phone after a month. Way too many bugs and not a word from LG about updates. As someone else already mentioned, youtube movies wont work, but there's plenty more thats simply not acceptable.
Mail is displayed as plain text, you can view it in html, but it uses some crap conversion to make a picture of it and view it in a picture viewer.
gps doesnt even work out of the box, for a lot of people. you just wont get a signal. it now turns out this could be due to a bad contact between pcb and the backplate, which is used as an antenna. by scratching the surface of that contact some people have managed to get their gps to work (search for it on mylgarena.com)
the os used is propietary, so forget about installing stuff other than java apps. i read somewhere LG is planning (or already working on) an apps store, but so far no word from LG.
and forget abot the hype about the cube thats in the interface, its useless. you can just as easy flip through the 4 screens swiping over the screen, that is, if you want to use the other screens at all.
because the contact screen and the media screen is nothing more than a favorits list. something like that might work for contacts (like on TF3D) but not for music or photos. the cube itself doesnt even display the real content of the 4 screens, its some static example of how your screen could look like.
in my opinion, with all these problems, LG should issue a recall. fix the gps, install a less bug infected firmware and make their customers happy
my advice: if you just use the phone for calling and texting, its fine. but if you want to use email, install apps, use the gps, get something else (iphone, windows phone)
