This Phone is Awsome:
Pro:
1. colors and graphic
2. sound quality during phone calls
3. Screen touch sensivity
4. Music
5. tv -out
6. fm transmitter
7. design and feels good in the hand
Cons:
1. on video recording mode you cannot zoom in or out while its recording, its fixed.
2. weak flash
3. autofocus sometime lags
4. no flsh support for web browser.
5. No viewing youtube video over wi-fi =C
6. under direct sunlight visibility is not that great
Overall this phone is good, Im very satisfied with this phone. I went from an omnia 16gig (black), Kc910 renoir, and now this is indeed the right phone.

please please please can someone tell me a phone that actually plays songs in TRACK ORDER!!! (as opposed to alphabetically). this one does, as long as theres only 9 tacks on an album, beyond this all order breaks down. this is a brilliant phone in general, but WHY WHY WHY does it not recognise track 10, track 11, track 12 etc?! i mean its not exactly brain surgery!... all i want, is a phone (but not the iphone) that wil play my songs in track order, via a bluetooth headset, surely in 2009 this must exist... HELP!

ok so i love this phone it is awesome but want the new firmware, i have done all of the above but none of the upgrading tools or software updates do anything....
is there software available for generic uk handset?

I got my LG Arena here in Brisbane Australia recently. You really need to charge it for at least 10-12 hours (the manual states no more than 14) and run it down completely the first 3 times, I recommend, to give the battery a good start on performance. I would advise turning off features like haptic touch (or at least reduce the level of haptic feedback), and lower the brightness settings (say, to 60%) to help increase battery life also.
Movie playback: The DivX Converter software that comes with the phone is useless and limits you to 320x240 resolution as others mention on various forums here and elsewhere. Playback at 720x480 is brilliant and achievable if you find the right software to convert (and crop) your movies to mp4. At least until a good DivX player becomes available for the phone. Several movies I have converted play brilliantly on the phone without any really noticeable artifacts. 720x480 at 900kbits, 22k Audio. Try to choose something that offers "2 pass" encoding.
My phone has version 10o firmware and I haven't experienced any crashes yet.
Keyboard in Landscape mode is useable for messaging, but takes a few minutes to get used to.

Anonymous, 17 May 2009for sure you got a faulty modelI tried a few demo phones in shops and all of them show the same color posterization as mine. And with a simple color gradient file it shows it is a 65K screen. Now I am sure I did not get a faulty model, all are 65K color.
Do you have one for yourself? Take a good look!
