i now have this phone - i just traded my 5800 for it. i actually work within the mobile phone trade. the phone is great it is an iphone beater by miles, the screen is incredibly vibrant and it also it runs on a amd dual core processor with 1GB RAM . . i think it will be very difficult for it to let you down, therevis a rumor of the phone soon to be using iphone browser. the phone is very fun, the battery life is good, it's what the iphone should be . . and with software updates from lg it will be kept one step ahead.

It is quite tiring to read from page 1. I guess this phone has been undressed: It is a beautiful sexy woman without brains!!! Will I blow out my brain and buy one? Or I better keep my Nokia 3210...

Very nice phone. However, i can't seem to get the GPS working and it is difficult to connect to my Wifi connection.
Does anybody else have problems getting the GPS to work, standing outside for 10 minutes still results in a message the google map cannot determine my location.
Concerning Wifi, my Arena will only connect to my router when i am standing next to it. In places where my laptop en PS3 have a good connection, my Arena won't connect to my wifi connection. Anyone else got this problem?

Got this phone and would say its just ok. It looks the business and ui is impressive but has a few annoying things about it that might be fixed in an update. I might be doing something wrong and will be glad to be told if i am!
- When in some menus with multiple options and you change to on/ off and come out menu it will come out of that screen all together and you need to go back into the menu.
- When I put albums on all of them have track numbers and cover but the cover wont go on and the phone itself only seeming to accept 9 tracks on the album with the rest all coming under 1. Difficult to explain but I'm sure others will have same problem. Bascically it doesnt allow an album of more than 9 songs to be played start to finish! (Id also like to see band name when sorting all songs by track)
- GPS wont seem to work on Google maps or the free sat nav I've downloaded. (I've tried it in different places and my old N95 works in them but the arena doesnt)
- the web browser is pretty slow and wont show some pages i've tried (i.e hotmail). It is also pretty annoying that have to zoom in on EVERY page even if page doesn't take up whole screen (i.e. google). this makes pressing buttons pretty awkward.
The battery is terrible as well but all in all a decent phone that could be improved. Hopefully a software update will fix the niggles and it definetly needs some applications released before it becomes as useful as an ipod. Oh and text can be marked and deleted if select delete!!

Played with this today, Poor mans Iphone. The browser is very slow and the operating system is not great. The applications seem ok but they are way to bulky. Dont waste your money on this. Get an iphone, or a cheaper phone and an Ipod touch

before lg released the km900 arena to stores the rating was 9 in design feauters and perfomance and since the mobile released to stores the rate drop out from 9 to 8.2 after users tested it that means the phone is crap .

Only got this yesterday evening, so not tested that many of its features. First impressions are quite good:
- Looks better than it does in the photos, though would have been nice to have some cleaner lines throughout. Very nice materials used, but does feel strangely light. Tis a fingerprint magnet, but what do you expect from a touch screen.. The display is amazingly detailed, comparing it with an ipod touch, the ipod just looks blurry lol. The colours are a bit warmer than those on the ipod, ie whites are bit more yellow on the arena.
- The closest thing I have to compare the UI with is the ipod touch, and generally it's just as responsive. Occasionally you need to poke it a few times before it does what you want, but then the ipod UI isn't perfect either in that respect. The cube thing is overrated in terms of its functionality, but does look rather slick.
- texting takes a little getting used to on the touch screen, but it's nice having the haptic feedback to let you know it's registered the input.
- Camera is great, a lot better than the 5MP on my old samsung g600. Only tested during daytime so, not sure what low light conditions are like (doubt it'd be anything to write home about). It's really annoying there isn't a lens cover, cos my finger always seems to rest on it leaving smudges.
- Sound quality is pretty good actually. I won't pretend to be an audiophile, but listening through a pair of shure se210s, it sounds better than my ipod touch imo (slightly better bass). Doesn't quite match the sound from my sony A818 walkman though. Generally it still lacks a bit of low end, so i use the xtra bass preset for certain songs. The Dolby Mobile makes songs more spacious, but doesn't help with bass. If you're a bass junkie, get a pair of Sennheiser CX300s - that'll sort it out lol.
- I found the easiest way of getting music to the phone was to connect as a mass storage unit and then transfer using winamp, that way i can transfer specifically the playlists I want. So far i've only tested one divx file and it worked first time without the need for conversion or anything - dunno if i just got lucky with that..
- no google maps, youtube or gmail cos orange are really cool and removed them.. I've downloaded the google maps java app and it works fine (though looks a bit pixelated on the high res screen). Not tried gps yet.
- FM transmitter isn't great tbh, tried listening to something through my hifi right in front of me and it sounds rather tinny. That's using 87.5mhz which was the clearest signal i could find without interference.
- internet browsing is pretty smooth, the multitouch zooming is fairly responsive and accurate. Comparing with the ipod touch (both on wifi), web pages do take a lot longer to load on the arena. eg gsmarena took over 30 seconds to load on the arena compared to about 15 on the ipod. BUT that said, the arena renders the page in twice the res, so you can just about read the text without zooming in (if you have good eye sight) - no chance you can do that on ipod.
That's about it, might add some more later when i play around with it a bit longer. Hope this helps some people. For me it was choice between this or the samsung s8300, cos they're about the same price - but glad i went for this mostly due to the bigger hi-res screen.
