I got this phone 5 days ago and although it's quite slow it is still worth the money. The 5 megapixel camera is good enough to take photos with although it isn't as good as all the other 8 mp camera's. I have the pink one and i would like to say it looks very cute. The phone plays videos really well if you get them converted into mp4 files that are big enough-like what you put into an ipod touch, the video playback looks really good. Although it lags abit, as long as you touch the keypads slowly and not rush it too much its a good phone. i would give it a 7/10 though because the accelerometer isn't very accurate. but it still is a good phone!

Dont compare OS cellphones(like 5800)with arena.you can choose Arena or sams S8000JET.If you can find Arena 100$ cheaper than Jet go for LG.Anyway 4get 5800
It freeze a lot & touch sensitivity & camera is poor.
You also can wait for Nokia X6.Its more better than 5800.I personally wanna the best Resolution of screen@reasonable price.so I wanna take Arena or Jet.
I'll share anytime I buy.

Nevertheless, if you wish to use the text in your MMS received and to send it as SMS, you can remove the images in your MMS received, and it'll automatically converted to SMS format when you sending the text.
By the way, to copy your SMS text, the procedures are as follows:
"Block cursor" > touch and hold the screen and move your finger from first to last words you wish to copy, you'll see all the text will be highlighted > "Copy" > "Paste".

hey guys have anyone tried to format their lg arena yet.i would like to know that will my contacts and sms will also get deleted... plz reply as my computer detects lg arena as mass storage but i am not able to get into the disk or see any files... i want to format it now,plz advice on formatting......

Also do u know how you can copy text from one text into another. My phone constantly alters from SMS to MMS and although it should support sending MMS messages, they always fail. So I try to copy the text from the MMS so I can send it SMS, but unfortunately although I can click on copy and it highlights one letter, I dont know how to highlight more than one letter. Do u know how to do this??

I recently bought this phone.
In the specification its mentioned that this has FM Transmitter in it.
But now I find that there is NO FM Transmitter ubder the tool tab.
Is there any fault with my phone or others are also having the same thing???
Plz reply if anyone has got the FM Transmitter option in his/her phone..
And how can I get that FM Transmitter option in my phone???

As for the battery life everyone complains about, this only occurs when watching a lot of video files, and reading a lot of books as the lights are on all the time.
Otherwise battery life is really good. But it is important to follow the instructions and charge overnight the first time.. not just untill it says full!

I have had this phone since it was first released in April. Its true, that in the beginning it froze and I needed to restart but I simply uploaded the firmware and now it works fantastic. It still says I have the old model firmware, but I do not have a problem now. Love the phone. its sturdy (I drop a lot) and full of great features.
The only things I don't like so much..
1. You Cannot turn of the camera shutter noise
2. You cannot type a page number in a long PDF and jump straight there. Need to search an uncommon word, or use the number slider..
3. No random feature in the music. Can create as many playlists as you like, but cannot set to just plain old random.
But really, what are these things in comparison to quality features. It takes great photos, and I have been able to view a great number of avi movies and TV shows without converting the avi first! Plus I can plug any headphones in, as it had a standard headphone jack.
Plus I have read a great number of PDF books on my phone. Which I love as I don't have to lug my laptop! I am never bored on a train anymore.
I think it has high voting results for good reason.

i have own the lg arena for more than 6 days and so far i am enjoying the use of this phone... there is one problem that i have noticed... i cannot view my powerpoint and word documents... can somebody help me to fine a way to view it because im using this documents at my work.... thnx... Unfortunately lg mobiles import our country with a long delay.Therefor I havent seen any of milestone lg phones yet.but somedays ago at last I saw arena in a mobile shop and I very impressed.I want to buy it but i dont know does it have any special faulty?
Is it a good phone?Is there any annoying problem in this phone?This one is better or renoir?
