I got my cookie two days back. I love its UI, animations, screen transitions so good. pre loaded applications are also excellent. for e.g. photo editor with plenty of easy to use and really effective options. I promise, you wont need to use any pc based photo editing s/w for basic fine tuning and other effects.
To those complaining about touch responsiveness, you need to understand that cookie uses resistive touch screen technology. means you cant expect feather touch exp available with iphone. however, with a little amt of pressure applied on screen, u can play with it perfectly. No complains at all. My cookie recognizes all my touch commands with >95% accuracy. Camera is decent. and if u looking at some serious photography then i suggest not to waste ur time comparing LG cookies camera with those of some other high end mobiles. u can get urself 10 mp digicam with the price u save on this value for money gadget. its got superb video player with movies playing @ 24 FPS. Music player is also good with excellent stereo effect.
There are few things which i m not comfortable with yet. for e.g. pdf file opens well fitting the vertical screen size. but if i zoom it i cant scroll through it. what i can do is going to next page. Same is the case with excel sheets. anyone familiar with LG cookie document viewer, pls help me.
lastly for those looking to buy this mobile, u can definitely go for it for its multimedia features and its excellent UI but not recommended for heavy mobile users as battery really sucks.

No themes. Won't save some numbers. I save a number with a name and it appears with someone else's call. No software update on LG site. They have sole 5 million cookies in 9 months, I wonder 5 million people having the same problems. What an invention!!!

i just bought this phone, i'm from romania, and here the software version is 10d, so far i didn't expirienced any problems, like restarts or crashes.i'm pretty pleased right now...time will tell

The LG cookie is good but the problems are bad like in the first week of having it it turned it's self on hands free and wasted $90 I was so angry I had to switch the phone off for a month and I could not figure out what was wrong also the phones charge last about 18 hours I'm so angry with this phone if you are buying one do not get it ok it's cheap but save up a but more and get a real phone

well,i believe the phone is ok....the touch screen effect n sound are just good.....but the snag is it didnt come with extra memory,that is,the external memory that would have been best.

Me, 07 Aug 2009Just one question ! - Is the battery rather powerful? ... morei got this phone for almost 2 weeks now. and the battery is very weak. i have to charge it every day. i always carry my charger. whenever i charged it in the morning the phone is dead the morning next day. eventhough i dont always use it. any ways, i like this phone, except for the battery....

Hello group does anyone hav the Cookie on a U.S. Tmobile plan with internet? I purchased the phone on a whim didnt think I'd like it. Turns out to be a surprisingly nice phone. But want to test the internet on it.

I'm using this cell for last 2 months and I'm quite impressed with it. I like the size and clarity of LCD. The 3.15 MP camera give good result in day as well as night. It lacks a flash, but it doesn't bother me. Has a decent battery life. The UI is a somewhat slow but you'll get use to it once you use it. In all, this is, truly a value for money mobile. It is feature rich at a very affordable price.
I see people commenting on slowness on UI and compare it with some high-end products. I dont see a point in comparing this phone with some phone that is out of my budget.
I bought this cell for Rs 7900/- (roughly 165 US$). For me there is no point in comparing this cell with Nokia 5800 which is around Rs. 19000/- (395 US$).
Suggestion: Compare only those mobiles that are in your budget.

i was wondering if the touch screen on the LG cookie is good. if you drop it, does it stop working ? does it have a slow response ? any other problems with it ? and what are the cons about the cookie ? does the speedial work ?

I am not able 2 play music in lg kp500 via nokia bluetooth. although BT is working 4 taking calls but not playing music. plz reply if u know how 2 do it
